Vitamin E is known as a powerful antioxidant, and it may help support:
• The inner surface of your arteries
• The retinas
• The peripheral nerves
• The skeletal muscle membranes
• Reducing cramping—especially in the heart
Vitamin E deficiency symptoms:
1. Muscle weakness
2. Muscle myopathies
3. Reduced ability for muscles to contract
If you have a reduced ability for muscles to contract because you’re vitamin E deficient, you may experience muscle fatigue. You may have poor exercise performance, and you may also have tearing of muscle tissue without enough repair.
Foods high in the vitamin E complex:
• Wheatgerm
• Leafy greens
• Sunflower seeds
• Almonds

Today we’re going to talk about how keto can potentially help protect your immune system, especially when it comes to the coronavirus.
99.2% of all deaths from COVID-19 are associated with metabolic syndrome. With this syndrome, your immune system is compromised big time.
Those who do not have other health issues have a 0.8% chance of death. If a person has pre-existing health problems like high blood pressure, diabetes, a heart condition, or cancer, the risk of death significantly increases.
It’s possible that insulin resistance is really behind some cases of health issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, certain heart conditions, or cancer. It’s estimated that 60-70% of Americans have some level of insulin resistance.
When you go on healthy keto, you’re working to improve metabolic syndrome. Healthy keto promotes healthy insulin levels, which, in turn, may help improve certain health conditions. The healthy ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting can potentially help support the immune system and minimize the chance of dying if infected.

Chronic Stress Literally Destroys Immunity
Here’s how chronic stress can destroy your immune system making you more susceptible to infections. Check this out.

3:24 Chronic stress and the immune system
In this video, we’re going to talk about how stress affects your health. Chronic stress can literally destroy your immune system.
Cortisol is activated by stress.
Lymphoid tissue is an area where you have a lot of immune reactions to keep pathogens away from different organs. High cortisol will divert amino acids from the lymphoid tissue, basically shrinking this tissue. It makes your immune system smaller.
Antibodies are produced by the immune system, and they help develop immunity. They don’t necessarily kill pathogens, but they put a tag on them for other immune cells to kill them. If you have enough antibodies in your system, you are protected. But, with high cortisol, you can have a decrease in overall antibody production.
You also have various barriers of immune defense. But, high cortisol can create a break down in your cellular barriers, which can raise your susceptibility to viral and bacterial infections.
Keeping your immune system strong isn’t just about good nutrition; it’s also about keeping your stress as low as possible.

This drug has already been approved for parasites, lice, and scabies. It has very few side effects, and it’s relatively inexpensive.
There are a lot of new COVID-19 treatments being tested right now, but they take time. In the meantime, the best thing to do might be to build up your immune system.

8:32 How to support the thymus gland
Today we’re going to talk about the thymus gland in relation to viruses.
What is the thymus?
The thymus is a very important lymph gland located right above the heart. When you’re born, the thymus is large, and as you get older, it shrinks.
The thymus has a very important primary function called central tolerance. Tolerance is all about preventing a self-attack. You don’t want your own immune system to go rogue and destroy your own tissues.
T cells — T cells are developed in the thyroid gland.
There are three types of T cells:
• Killer cells — Kill viral infected cells (needs iodine)
• Helper T cells — Tag viruses for other cells to kill (needs vitamin D)
• Regulatory cells — Keep the immune system from overreacting (needs vitamin D)
B cells — B cells are developed in the bone marrow.
B cells make antibodies. Antibodies tag pathogens so other cells can kill them. But, antibodies can’t really do anything once the virus gets into the cell. That’s where helper T cells come in.
Antibodies are specific to certain pathogens. Your body has the ability to develop an incredible number of different antibodies. With enough antibodies, you could have resistance or protection to pretty much anything.
If you’re deficient in zinc, this situation can cause your thymus to shrink, and you’re not going to have all of the above functions.
How to support the thymus gland:
• Zinc
• Vitamin D
• Iodine
• Keeping stress low
• Avoiding sugar

2:09 Hydroxychloroquine studies showing the drug is not effective
4:18 Results from doctors in the field
21:11 How hydroxychloroquine works
There has been a lot of conflicting information in the news about hydroxychloroquine. I want to give you all of the information about it so you can decide if you think it’s a good solution or not.
Right now, there are three studies that show that hydroxychloroquine is effective. There are two studies that show that hydroxychloroquine is not effective. But there are still studies continuing to be done.
Hydroxychloroquine studies showing the drug is effective:
1. In the first study, they found that hydroxychloroquine potently blocks the infection of the virus in-vitro.
2. A clinical trial involving 20 patients in France found that patients that were treated with hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic tested negative within five days.
3. A randomized control clinical trial with 62 patients in China found that the recovery time for fever and duration of cough significantly improved as well as pneumonia symptoms.
Hydroxychloroquine studies showing the drug is not effective:
1. A study in China with 15 people that went for five days found that there was no difference on CAT scans. They found that 93% of the control group that did not receive hydroxychloroquine tested negative in five days. They also found that 87.7% of people that did receive hydroxychloroquine tested negative in five days. But the control group that did not receive hydroxychloroquine got bed rest, oxygen, antiviral medication, and antibiotics as needed. Both groups got interferon, which is a substance that kills viruses. The group that did get hydroxychloroquine did not get an antibiotic as well. After two weeks, both groups tested negative for the coronavirus.
2. A study done in France on 11 patients showed that combining hydroxychloroquine with an antibiotic was ineffective. But, eight of these patients had shown significant health conditions. Out of these patients, three had solid tumors, two of the patients had hematological cancer, one patient had HIV, and two of the patients were obese.
How does hydroxychloroquine work?
• Hydroxychloroquine is an ionophore, which allows zinc to enter into the cells. Zinc can inhibit the virus.
• It helps protect the break down of hemoglobin, so you’ll see less damage in the lungs and more oxygen.
• Hydroxychloroquine suppresses the innate part of the immune system.

Salt Water Gargle

These authors express: “Active virus replication in the upper respiratory tract puts the prospects of a virus containment in perspective.”
On another front, I checked on the recommendation of another doctor of doing frequent “salt water gargles” to help dislodge viruses from the throat before they migrate to the lungs. 3:25 Salt water gargle research
4:08 How do you do it?
Will gargling with salt water kill the coronavirus? There are no studies that I’ve found that say that gargling with salt water will kill a virus. But, there is some research that says that gargling with saltwater could potentially help prevent certain viruses from going down into the lung.
There is also some research that shows that certain viruses can replicate in your throat before moving to the lungs. They found a high rate of replication and viral shedding during the first week. It would appear that gargling with salt water would help dilute the concentration of viruses if there are viruses there.
One interesting study talked about the antiviral innate immune response using salt to support a certain chemical in your immune cells that could potentially kill the virus.
There are certain enzymes that can convert chloride into hypochlorous acid, which is very antimicrobial. It’s been known to kill viruses. Certain immune cells, like phagocytes, actually pull in viruses and bacteria and expose those microbes to the acid. They basically make and use bleach, hydrogen peroxide, and even a certain antibiotic, as well as release enzymes, to kill off these microbes.
What you’re really doing is giving the immune system raw material to make weapons.
Saltwater gargle research:
1. 130 people gargled with water, which was efficient in preventing upper respiratory tract infections in healthy people.
2. A Japanese study on 20,000 children found no outbreaks of influenza or fever infections during the process of the study.
3. In 2010 they found that washing the throat with saltwater could be considered the most effective measure for upper respiratory infections.
4. In 2013 there was a study done with 338 people using saltwater, and they found that people are less likely to get an upper respiratory infection.
What to do:
Dissolve 1/2 tsp. of sea salt in 8 oz. of warm water. Gargle with this saltwater mixture a few times a day.

Are Ventilators for COVID-19 Doing More Harm than Good?
Here is something really interesting about the use of ventilators for COVID-19. You’re going to want to check this out.

7:09 Hydroxychloroquine
10:18 Zinc
Today we’re going to talk about the coronavirus and ventilators. Could ventilators for COVID-19 do more harm than good?
A ventilator is a machine that breathes for you. It uses forced air and oxygen. New York officials have said that at least 80% of COVID-19 patients in the city who were on a ventilator died.
If someone becomes critically ill with COVID-19, they are typically sedated and put on a ventilator. This is because this coronavirus targets the lungs, and it becomes more and more difficult to breathe. But, the problem could be that in severe cases, the lung is so fragile that adding more pressure to the lung could create more damage to the lung.
It could be that this condition is less like pneumonia or ARDS and is more like high altitude sickness. It’s possible that the pressure that the ventilators are giving in this situation is too high. One doctor who is treating patients with COVID-19 in New York believes that the pressure in the ventilators used for COVID-19 needs to be turned down, and the oxygen needs to be increased.
New research regarding COVID-19 suggests that this coronavirus attacks hemoglobin. The red blood cell carries oxygen in the form of hemoglobin. If the patient loses the iron in the heme, they won’t be able to carry oxygen. The patient will starve of oxygen.
The other problem is that now the free iron can leak through the body going into the lung and creating a severe oxidation reaction.
Hydroxychloroquine:
• Could block hemoglobin catabolism
• Can suppress the innate immune system
• It has been used for malaria, lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis
*Hydroxychloroquine may work best when combined with zinc.

If hypothyroidism may not be a thyroid problem, then what is the problem? Find out.

Did you know that the majority of hypothyroid conditions are not really a thyroid problem? 90% of all hypothyroid conditions are Hashimoto’s. This is an autoimmune condition. With this autoimmune condition, the thyroid has antibodies that attack itself. This is immune dysfunction, not necessarily a thyroid problem. But, it does affect the thyroid.
This could be why many people with this condition never see any change—because they’re treating the wrong problem. If you look up hypothyroidism, you will see that the cause is low thyroid hormones. But what’s causing the low thyroid hormones?
If you have hypothyroidism that’s not involved with Hashimoto’s, it could be secondary to something else. 80% of the conversion of T4 to T3 happens through the liver. So, if there’s something going on with the liver or the gallbladder, it could mean that you’re just not getting the conversion of T4 to T3.
You could also have a situation where there is too much estrogen in the body. In this case, the estrogen can block the thyroid.
Some other data talks about consuming too many cruciferous vegetables being behind a thyroid problem. But, the studies on this are very sparse. You would also have to consume a tremendous amount of cruciferous vegetables to deplete enough iodine to cause a weakness in the thyroid. There is no data that says consuming cruciferous vegetables will kill the thyroid.
If you’re worried about cruciferous vegetables causing a thyroid problem, you could steam them or ferment them. You could also have some sea kelp to help replace the iodine that could potentially be depleted by cruciferous vegetables. But, cruciferous vegetables can help regulate estrogen, and really, cruciferous vegetables benefit the entire body.
To help with different thyroid problems, you may want to avoid:
• Soy
• Gluten
Hashimoto’s, being an autoimmune condition, usually involves some type of immune dysfunction. There are some interesting links between EBV and Hashimoto’s. There is also a connection between gut problems and Hashimoto’s.
A few things you can do:
• Restore the gut (healthy keto and intermittent fasting)
• Selenium
• Zinc
• Garlic
• Lower stress

Hydroxychloroquine May NOT Work Without Taking Zinc
Here is something really important you need to know about hydroxychloroquine and zinc, and what the combination might do for COVID-19.

Today we’re going to talk about something really important concerning COVID-19 and hydroxychloroquine.
Dr. Anthony Cardillo is using hydroxychloroquine with zinc and is having great success. His patients are actually becoming asymptomatic within 8-12 hours.
Hydroxychloroquine should not be taken without a prescription from your doctor, and it also shouldn’t be taken if you’re healthy.
Hydroxychloroquine allows zinc to go into the cell. If there’s more zinc in the cell, then the virus (COVID-19) can’t reproduce.
Dr. Anthony Cardillo has found that hydroxychloroquine only works with zinc. Zinc does a lot of things, including increasing resistance to infection and decreasing susceptibility to viruses.
People with viruses like COVID-19 typically have a zinc deficiency.
Zinc not only helps the immune system, but you need zinc inside the cell to help kill the virus. Hydroxychloroquine may be able to do that if there is enough zinc inside of the body.
You might want to consider taking zinc as a preventative measure right now just as an immune-supporting nutrient.

Postmenopausal Estrogen Comes From Your Own Fat
Did you know that postmenopausal estrogen comes from your own fat? Learn what you can do to fix this problem.
Overview of Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting:
Timestamps
0:04 Where does estrogen come from
1:04 Estrogen dominance
1:20 Fatty liver and estrogen
1:40 The three types of estrogen
2:15 What can you do?
Today we’re going to talk about postmenopausal estrogen. Before you go through menopause, the ovaries are working and producing estrogen. But, after menopause, when your ovaries go into retirement, you’re going to get it from other places.
You can actually get it from your fat cells. If you have a lot of body fat, you could start making excessive amounts of estrogen. You can also convert some of your adrenal hormones into estrogen as well, but it’s not as much as your fat.
There is an enzyme called aromatase that helps you convert fat into estrogen. This is one reason why some women end up with an estrogen dominance situation after menopause that can lead to other issues.
Potential symptoms of a postmenopausal estrogen dominance situation:
• Cancer
• Hot flashes
• Night sweats
• Vaginal dryness
• Depression
• Irritability
A fatty liver issue can also cause a woman not to be able to clear out estrogen properly, and it can build up even more.
There are 3 types of estrogen:
• E1-Estrone (produced by the adrenals)
• E2- Estradiol (made from the ovaries, fat, adrenal hormones)
• E3-Estriol (you have pretty much only during pregnancy)
One thing you can do is take a natural aromatase inhibitor, such as:
1. White button mushrooms
2. Stinging nettle root
3. Grape seed extract
4. Maca
5. Quercetin
6. Licorice
7. Genistein
8. DIM
I also think the healthy keto diet combined with intermittent fasting is a great thing to do in this situation.
