In this video, I’m going to give you some tips on what to do if your child is a picky eater.
If your child only consumes savory snacks, sugary cereals, french fries, mac and cheese, cheese sticks, frozen waffles, and packaged foods, and avoids vegetables, fish, and meats, then this video is for you!
Picky eating is most often due to nutritional deficiencies. The best situation is to start your kids out on healthy, nutritious foods from birth to ensure no nutritional deficiencies. However, at a certain age, it is often very difficult to get your child to consume the right foods.
A zinc deficiency is common among children. Zinc affects your child’s ability to smell and taste. Consuming refined carbs and sugars will create a zinc deficiency.
MSG and modified food starch affect your child’s appetite. If they are consuming any of the foods I mentioned earlier, then they are likely consuming a lot of MSG and modified food starch. In turn, this increases appetite and insulin. Always avoid MSG.
If your child is lacking DHA or vitamin B1, they are likely to have problems with their mood and behavior—especially anger.
If a child has enough B1, they are going to be calm—they won’t feel restless, and they’ll have more self-control.
Refined carbs and sugars can create vitamin B1 and DHA deficiency.
You should find healthy keto substitutes for high-carb and high-sugar foods. Make the transition from unhealthy junk foods to healthy keto foods. Instead of telling your child that they can’t have those foods, find a healthy substitute.
You can also get your child to make the recipes with you. My wife has done this with my children for many years, and this works great—they enjoy cooking healthy foods.
It can take some time to transition to healthier food options. While you’re doing the transition, it can help to take supplements for any nutrient deficiencies. This will help rebalance their body chemistry and make it easier to come off of junk foods.

In this video, I’m going to talk about why you want to always fast during an infection.
Fasting is a powerful tool—it delays aging, and it can even extend your lifespan. It also has powerful immune system effects.
When you get sick, you often lose your appetite. This is your body’s natural way to boost your immunity.
Ketones have profound protective properties, including antimicrobial effects.
When you fast, you also increase the survival of your T-cells and B-cells. T-cells run the immune system, kill microbes, and reduce inflammation. B-cells have to do with making antibodies, which have a “memory” to better fight off future infections.
T-helper cells are also boosted when you fast. These cells coordinate all other immune actions—like the general of the army.
If you fast long enough, you induce autophagy. Autophagy is when your body starts to clean up old, damaged cells and recycles them. Autophagy also helps control viral infections, decrease inflammation, and presenting antigens.
A 3-day fast can have profound effects on your immune system. You will trigger the stem cells that regenerate the immune system.
Continue taking vitamins and minerals while you fast—especially vitamin D. You can also take oregano oil, garlic, and olive leaf extract to boost your immunity.

Endurance Exercise Can Damage Your Heart

Â
Today we’re going to talk about endurance exercise and your heart. If you do endurance exercise, you need to get the book “The Haywire Heart” by Chris Case and John Mandrola.Â
About one-third of marathoners experience dilated ventricles. It seems that many athletes develop dilated ventricles or enlarged ventricles on one side. There are even indications of heart muscle damage and cardiac fibrosis. Another problem that can occur is called ventricular tachycardia.Â
The authors talk about how doing sustained endurance exercise for over 1 hour every day, five days a week, could cause issues. This could cause structural and functional changes within the heart. Â
The heart is becoming stronger and more efficient, and the heart rate actually comes down. The heart rate can even come down from a normal heart rate of around 72 to 50 or even down to 30. The heart doesn’t have to work that hard, so everything is very slow.Â
What can happen:
• Low heart rateÂ
• You can get cardiomegaly/hypertrophy (the heart can get bigger)
• Extra beats (PAC or PVC)
What you could do:
• Cut back on the exerciseÂ
• Try interval trainingÂ

1:35 How to bulletproof your immune systemÂ
In this short video, I want to talk about the new cholesterol test guidelines, and why you should fast before a cholesterol test.Â
In the past, it was required to fast for twelve hours before your cholesterol test. Now, you don’t have to fast. They now say that you can eat before your test because:
1. Eating doesn’t affect cholesterol that much.
2. It’s less hassle for the patient, doctor, and lab.
I think this is bad advice. When you eat before the test, you’re adding in so many different variables that could affect your cholesterol.
If you’re on keto, you’re consuming more fat. The fat in your blood (triglycerides) will go up if you consume fat in your meal. This can alter the test, and it won’t give you a consistent baseline when you test over time. The lipids in your blood will change depending on what you eat.Â
I think it may be best to always do at least a twelve-hour fast before you get your cholesterol test.Â

3:30 Fluorosis
Did you know that cavities are the second most common disease worldwide? The root word for cavity means “hole.” There is a hole in your tooth. The bone is dissolving and breaking down to the point where there is a hole in it.Â
The teeth are actually supposed to be indestructible. You don’t have cells that are constantly being replaced on the enamel. But, there is one thing that will destroy your teeth. It’s a certain type of bacteria. There are a lot of friendly bacteria that live in the mouth. As you consume sugar and other carbohydrates that can ferment, the population of this type of bacteria starts going higher and higher until it’s dominant. When it ferments sugar, it creates acid, which dissolves the bone creating a hole.Â
When you consume certain refined carbohydrates and sugar, you’re feeding the bad microbes, and you’re getting the plaque-forming bacteria, which then causes decay because it’s creating an acid.Â
Are brushing and using fluoride really enough to prevent cavities? What about the food we eat?Â
There is actually a condition called fluorosis. When you expose a young child to too much fluoride, it can weaken the teeth. It can affect calcium metabolism in the body. The best thing to do may be to cut out sugar.Â

1:09 How to detect fake olive oilÂ
Today we’re going to talk about the corruption in the olive oil business, and I’m going to share how to find real olive oil. There has been corruption going on in the olive oil business for a very long time. When you buy olive oil, you want to make sure you’re buying the right kind.Â
Real olive oil is delicious. It has a very green, bright, peppery, grassy, fresh taste. Fake olive oil is often flavorless and rancid. Many companies actually blend their olive oil with cheaper low-quality oil. The FDA has only recently started going after some of these counterfeits.Â
How to find real olive oil:
1. Always get extra virgin olive oil (not light or pure).
2. Find the harvest date and note the “best by” date or “bottled on” date.Â
3. Look for a 3rd party seal.Â
4. Avoid big brands of olive oil you would find in the grocery store. It may be best to go to a specialty store where you can sample the olive oil. Or order it from a country that you know has real olive oil, like Italy.
5. Look for the name of the producer or estate where the olive oil originated from.Â

Â
1 cup (128g) of ice cream:
• Has about 28g of sugar per cupÂ
Â
1 cup (128g) of sweetened yogurt:
• Yoplait — 41g of sugarÂ
• GoGurt — 38.2g of sugarÂ
• Dannon — 36g of sugarÂ
• Dannon Activia — 43g of sugarÂ
Many times the type of sugar used in yogurt is:
• High fructose corn syrupÂ
• Modified corn starchÂ
• Corn syrupÂ

Â
What to do if you consume yogurt:
• Make sure it’s plain
• Make sure it’s made with whole milkÂ
• Try Bulgarian yogurt
• Try kefir
• Use drops of stevia as a sweetener instead of buying sweetened yogurt

In this video, we’re going to talk about how you can get rid of stiffness and feel younger again. When I was 28, I felt very stiff and old—I felt like I was in my 50s. Now that I’m in my 50s, I feel like I’m in my 20s. But how?
Back then, I consumed a lot of carbohydrates. A high-carb diet will stiffen your joints up. It creates a lot of inflammation.
There are four major causes of stiffness I want to talk about in this video.
#1. Too much iron – Having too much iron creates a lot of inflammation in the body. It also creates problems in your liver. There are many sources of iron. Grains, red meat, and multivitamin supplements are the most common sources of too much iron.
#2. Vegetable oils – “Vegetable” oils—which are really just seed oils—can cause a lot of stiffness and inflammation. You want to avoid corn, soy, canola, and cottonseed oils. You can replace these with butter, olive oil, and coconut oil.
#3. Not enough fish oil/cod liver oil – Omega-3 fatty acids are vital to reducing inflammation and stiffness. If you don’t have enough omega-3s and you have too much omega-6s, you will have a lot of inflammation. Consume more fish oil and cod liver oil. You want to also consume fatty fish and sardines.
#4. Not enough vitamin K2 – Vitamin K2 is a type of vitamin that drives calcium out of the joints and other soft tissues and then transports it into the bone. Always take vitamin K2 when you take vitamin D3. These work together to reduce stiffness in your joints and muscles.
If you have digestive issues—especially low bile—you will have a difficult time digesting essential fatty acids. This is often a problem with the gallbladder. Bile salts can help fix this problem.
