Today we’re going to talk about the consequences of high estrogen in men and what you can do if you’re a man who has have too much estrogen.

Consequences of high estrogen in men:
1. It can increase the risk of stroke
• Excess estrogen can increase the risk of blood clots that can lead to stroke.

2. Too much estrogen can be dangerous to the cardiovascular system
• Estrogen (estradiol) is typically at higher levels when someone has a heart attack, and when men have atherosclerosis.

3. Estrogen dominance can cause an enlarged prostate
• Estrogen is an anabolic hormone. It grows things.

What causes high estrogen in men? It could potentially be because of:

• Soy products
• Endocrine disrupters
• Dairy
• Too much aromatase (This could be the #1 reason, and it’s likely because of belly fat)

What to do:
• DIM
• Stinging nettle root
• Cruciferous vegetables
• Reduce insulin (do healthy keto and intermittent fasting)

Why Diabetes Makes You More Susceptible to Viruses

Did you know diabetes makes you more susceptible to viruses (like COVID-19)? Find out why.

1:09 A few additional things to be aware of
3:25 What to do

Today we’re going to talk about why diabetes can make you more susceptible to getting viruses like COVID-19. Being a diabetic actually triples the mortality rate from the COVID-19 virus.

The virus enters the cell through your own body’s receptor. This type of receptor is called the ACE2 receptor. The virus enters and starts to replicate. The more ACE2 receptors you have on your cells, the more susceptible you could be to this virus.

• Diabetics have a lot more ACE2 receptor proteins on their cells.
• People with high blood glucose have more ACE2 receptor proteins on their cells.
• People with higher amounts of insulin have more ACE2 receptor proteins on their cells.

A few additional things to be aware of:

• Insulin resistance can impair your immune response to a virus.

• People with hyperglycemia (high sugar) have a decrease in neutrophils. Neutrophils eat viruses, they release anti-microbial chemicals that kill pathogens, and they use NETS to dissolve microbes with chemicals. If you don’t have enough neutrophils, your immune system is going to be compromised, and your body won’t have the weapons to fight off viruses.

If you have diabetes and you’re concerned about COVID-19 (coronavirus), you may want to consider decreasing your carbs (the healthy keto diet) and intermittent fasting. This could potentially help greatly improve diabetes and help support the immune system.

How Ketones Affect Hormones and the Endocrine System

How do ketones affect your hormones and endocrine system? Watch this detailed video to find out.

PCOS:

Timestamps
0:07 Insulin
1:09 Glucagon
1:39 IGF-1 & GH
3:06 Cortisol
4:21 Thyroid
5:34 Estrogen
6:50 Androgens

In this video, we’re going to talk about how ketones affect hormones and the endocrine system.

1. Insulin
Lowered insulin triggers the production of ketones. When you have high insulin, you can’t get into ketosis. Carbohydrates and frequent eating are what mainly trigger insulin. Lowering your insulin and running your body on ketones can have a lot of health benefits.

2. Glucagon
Glucagon is a hormone that helps mobilize and burn fat. Glucagon is stimulated by a moderate amount of protein, intense exercise, and reduced insulin.

3. IGF-1
This is a hormone that works very similar to growth hormone. IGF-1 (insulin-like growth factor 1) mobilizes fat fuel when you’re not eating or when you’re keeping your insulin low. When you eat, IGF-1 goes down, and insulin goes up.

4. Growth hormone
Growth hormone is an anti-aging hormone, it helps make proteins in the body, and it’s a fat-burning hormone.

5. Cortisol
This is an adrenal hormone. If you go through a lot of stress, typically, your cortisol levels will be elevated. This elevated cortisol can eventually lead to a spike in insulin.

6. Thyroid hormones
When you’re on keto, and you start to make ketones, you might see a drop in T3 (the active form of thyroid hormone). This is not a problem because ketones are a much more efficient fuel than glucose, so the thyroid does not have to work as hard. Even though your T3 might be down, you should feel just fine and have lots of energy.

7. Estrogen
Estrogen can increase the sensitivity to insulin. If you have low estrogen levels, you may find that you have more symptoms of insulin resistance. Some women with extra weight after menopause may actually be more estrogen dominant because fat makes estrogen. The healthy keto diet may help.

8. Androgens
A high carb diet can decrease testosterone in the male body. In this situation, you’re running your body more on insulin, and you’re not in ketosis. When you get into ketosis by doing the keto diet, you can enhance testosterone. A high carb diet can actually increase testosterone in a woman’s body, causing hair loss, facial hair, a deep voice, and a gut because of the high insulin.

1:38 The advantages of this coronavirus treatment

Today I want to share some more good coronavirus news. There is another coronavirus treatment out there that’s being investigated. I like this coronavirus treatment. It’s actually been around for a long time. The name of it is convalescent antibody-rich plasma. The word convalescent means that you’re recovering from some type of infection.

With the convalescent antibody-rich plasma treatment, they use plasma from people who have been through the infection and fully recovered.

Plasma is rich in antibodies. People who recovered will have antibodies against COVID-19.

This treatment will actually give you the experience of someone else’s immune system without you having to go through it. It can help protect you. If you’re critically ill, you have antibodies with all of this experience that can help speed up the recovery.

The potential advantages of this therapy are:

• Decreased viral loads (without adverse reactions)
• Normalized body temperature within a few days
• A reduction in mortality rates from 16% to 1% from hemorrhagic fever
• Significantly lower death rates from flu, MERS, SARS, and ebola
• It was used in the Spanish flu of 1918 where it showed a reduced mortality rate of 21% between the years of 1918-1925
• One person donating plasma will be enough to treat 3-4 patients with severe symptoms

Ears and Nose Growing as You Get Older?

Why do we get a big nose and big ears as we age? And why do men get bushy eyebrows and hair loss? Watch this video to learn about these old age mysteries.

Timestamps:
0:00 Why do we get a big nose and big ears as we age?
1:00 Why men get bushy eyebrows and hair loss
1:41 How to prevent balding and bushy eyebrows with 5-ARIs

In this video, I want to talk about why your ears and nose continue growing as you get older. Unfortunately, it’s inevitable—your ears and nose will grow and grow.

While your bones stop growing in your early 20s, your cartilage doesn’t. Your nose and ears are made up of cartilage, which is why they don’t stop growing. At the same time, the connective tissue that holds the cartilage together decreases. This can lead to drooping and sagging.

Men also have a problem with something called DHT. DHT is a powerful type of testosterone that is created from testosterone and a certain enzyme. This leads to hair loss. Interestingly, though it stops the growth of hair on your head, it also increases the growth of nose, ear, and eyebrow hair.

There are certain natural enzyme inhibitors that help prevent DHT called 5 alpha-reductase inhibitors. This happens to be found in pumpkin seeds.

COVID-19 and Underlying Health Conditions and Susceptibility

Is there something you can do to help decrease the underlying health conditions that can increase coronavirus susceptibility and complications?

Overview of Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting:

Insulin Resistance and What You Can Do About It:

Timestamps
0:08 Underlying health conditions and COVID-19
0:46 A person without pre-existing health conditions
1:43 Why there is an increased risk
2:15 Insulin resistance and COVID-19

Today I want to talk about COVID-19 (the coronavirus) and why certain underlying health conditions put you at a higher risk.

Pre-existing health problems and increased COVID 19 mortality rates:

1. Cardiovascular — 13.2%
2. Diabetes — 9.2%
3. Chronic respiratory — 8.0%
4. Hypertension— 8.4%
5. Cancer — 7.6%

If a person doesn’t have any of these pre-existing health problems, the mortality rate is 0.9%. But, if a person has underlying health conditions, the death rate can increase significantly.

The way the virus penetrates the cell is through a receptor interaction. The little spikes that come off of the coronavirus connect to the ACE2 receptor opening the door to the cell, where they can go in and create damage.

People with the above health conditions have a much higher concentration of the ACE2 receptors. But there is another condition that has a higher concentration of these receptors, and it’s called insulin resistance. Another thing that’s interesting is that in a lot of cases, people with cardiovascular problems, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer, also have insulin resistance. It’s possible that improving insulin resistance may help with these conditions.

Why Smoking Spikes the Risk for COVID-19?

Smoking could increase the risk of COVID-19 complications. Here’s what you need to know.

Timestamps
0:07 COVID-19 and smoking
0:14 Why is smoking a risk factor?
0:24 What is an ACE2 receptor?
0:35 Coronavirus and smoking
1:11 Coronavirus and the lung tissue
1:37 Nicotine and COVID-19

Today we’re going to talk about why smoking can increase the risk of COVID-19 complications. Smoking could also increase your risk of getting an infection in your lungs.

Smoking is a risk factor because it can significantly increase ACE2 receptors. In your cells, you have a lot of different receptors, and there’s one for the ACE2 protein, which is an enzyme.

The way that the coronavirus gets into the cell is through this little ACE2 portal. COVID-19 has little projections that basically connect to the ACE2 receptors. Once it connects, the doors open, and it can go into the cell and create destruction. Smoking can increase the number of little portals. The more portals this virus can enter, the more susceptible you are to getting an infection.

The lung tissue actually has the most concentration of these ACE2 receptors. Once the coronavirus is in your lungs, it creates a lot of damage within the airways. At this point, you can start to develop scar tissue and fluid in the airways. The membranes become thickened, and you start to lose your capacity to exchange oxygen and CO2.

It’s the chronic nicotine inhalation, not just from smoking, but from vaping as well that could be an issue. If you quit smoking within 24 hours there could be a huge improvement.

In 2019, 43% of Italian smokers, smoked between 10-19 cigarettes per day. Two countries that are really getting hit with this virus are Italy and Spain. Both of these countries have a lot of smokers.

Apple Cider Vinegar and the Coronavirus

2:29 Apple cider vinegar and coronavirus

Today we’re going to talk about apple cider vinegar and the coronavirus. Apple cider vinegar is very anti-microbial.

It has been known to kill:
• E. coli
• Staph
• Candida

Apple cider vinegar also has the ability to downregulate cytokines. A cytokine is involved in the immune process and inflammation. Apple cider vinegar may be able to help decrease inflammation by downregulating cytokines.

Apple cider could also impair cell membranes in certain pathogens. Apple cider vinegar and other kinds of vinegar can stimulate phagocytosis. Phagocytosis is a condition where you have this immune cell eating the pathogen. It eats the bacteria or virus and kills it. Vinegar, being an acid, can stimulate the activity of that process.

Vinegar has been around for about 5,000 years, not just for consumption, but to aid in the healing process. There are even certain anti-viral solutions using vinegar that you can create to clean off different surfaces in your house.

So, could apple cider vinegar kill the coronavirus? Well, we have no idea. There are no studies out there that show this. But, it is good to know that apple cider vinegar can potentially kill certain viruses and help improve the immune system by decreasing inflammation, stimulating phagocytosis, and also impairing the membranes of certain pathogens.

In 1980 an average American was consuming about 20 pounds of high fructose corn syrup. The consumption of high fructose corn syrup spiked in the year 2000 to 61 pounds, and by 2015 it was down again to 39 pounds. Many different companies have been making the shift from high fructose corn syrup to other forms of sugar.

The problem with high fructose corn syrup is that it is 53% glucose and 42% fructose—the rest is different types of sugars. The fructose can do some serious damage to the liver. All of your cells have receptors for glucose, but not fructose. Only your liver can break down fructose. If you consume a lot of fructose, you can overload the liver and create all sorts of health problems.

High fructose corn syrup is also made in a lab with cornstarch. Corn is GMO, so you’re getting that added glyphosate.

Thankfully, high fructose corn syrup and even sugar are becoming less popular. I think it has something to do with the awareness of the keto diet.

Consumption of different products in the 70’s versus present day:

• Milk — down 44%
• Beef — down 33%
• Cheese — up 193%
• Yogurt — up 1600%
• Grains — up 12.7%
• Corn — up 180%
• Corn sweetener — up 300%
• Chicken — up 110%
• Vegetable oil — up 270%
• Soy — up 190%

3:36 Vitamin D deficiency causes

Today we’re going to talk about COVID-19, and vitamin D. What I say is not meant to replace medical care, I’m not making any claims that vitamin D is going to cure this virus, and I’m not going to try to sell you vitamin D. I just want to increase your awareness on the importance of vitamin D for your immune system.

We know the coronavirus attacks a weak immune system. That’s it’s strength and your weakness. So, what could you do to help strengthen your weakness?

Vitamin D might be one of the things that you can take. If you have a pre-existing health problem, and you already have a weak immune system, you may want to do some things to help strengthen your immune system.

There are quite a few articles out there that talk about vitamin D deficiency being a pandemic in itself. It’s possible that 70-80% of the population has a deficiency of vitamin D or insufficiency of vitamin D.

A vitamin D deficiency could put you at a higher risk for:

• Dental problems
• Inflammation
• Auto-immune conditions
• Infection
• Cardiovascular problems
• Cancer
• Diabetes type 2
• Bone loss
• Neurological problems

1. Vitamin D is critical for your immune system. It has viral-killing effects.
2. Vitamin D deficiency could increase your risk of over 300 illnesses, including the flu and respiratory infections like pneumonia.
3. Vitamin D deficiency could increase your susceptibility to getting infections.
4. A vitamin D deficiency could increase your risk of ARDS, which is involved in this coronavirus.
5. Vitamin D decreases pro-inflammatory cytokines.
6. Vitamin D increases the anti-inflammatory cytokine 2.
7. Vitamin D has anti-viral properties.
8. Vitamin D could lower the risk of respiratory infections.

Who’s at risk for a vitamin D deficiency?
• The obese

Who’s at risk for the coronavirus?
• The obese

Certain viruses can actually block your ability to absorb vitamin D.

Potential vitamin D deficiency causes:

• Lack of sun
• Sunscreen
• Darker skin
• Malabsorption
• Breastfeeding
• Pregnancy
• Aging
• Winter
• Statins
• Cortisol

There is bad news concerning COVID-19 pouring in every second on the media. But I have some good coronavirus news.

1. There is a French study involving 36 patients targeting COVID-19. They used a medication called hydroxychloroquine along with an antibiotic, and 100% of the patients recovered within 6 days. They also did a second trial with 80 patients. It showed clinical improvement in all of those cases except for 2.

2. Dr. Vladimir Zelenko said that in 699 COVID-19 cases, there was a 100% success rate. He used hydroxychloroquine, z-pack, and zinc. He’s recommending to hit the virus hard and early with this protocol.

3. Dr. William Grace has been using hydroxychloroquine and an antibiotic with really good results—not one death.

4. There was a study by the NIH using zinc showing a decrease in morbidity relating to lower respiratory tract infections.

5. There was another study done by the NIH in vitro using hydroxychloroquine. They found it was a potent killer of the coronavirus.

Can zinc kill the coronavirus? Here’s what we know.

Timestamps
0:05 Chloroquine
0:56 Studies on chloroquine and the coronavirus
4:23 Zinc and the immune system

Today we’re going to talk about zinc and the coronavirus. Can zinc actually kill the coronavirus?

In one of my other videos, I talk about a drug called chloroquine. Chloroquine is a malaria drug. There have been derivatives of this drug used in other countries as a coronavirus treatment.

This specific drug acts as a zinc ionophore, which means it allows zinc to penetrate your cells. Once the zinc is inside of the cell, it can stop the replication of the virus.

There was a report done titled, “An effective treatment for coronavirus COVID-19.” The report summary explains that “chloroquine is showing favorable outcomes in humans infected with coronavirus including faster time to recovery and shorter hospital stays.” It also “has strong potential as a prophylactic (preventative) measure in the lab, while we wait for a vaccine to be developed.”

There are some credible data that shows the relationship between chloroquine allowing zinc to kill the virus or at least inactivate the virus.

Zinc has a ton of benefits for the immune system that go beyond killing the virus.

• Zinc has the ability to fight a fever.
• Zinc is a mitogen (it causes the immune system to grow and respond to a pathogen).
• The thymus gland is a very important immune gland, and when you have a zinc deficiency, it shrinks.
• One symptom of a zinc deficiency is lymphopenia, which is decreased lymphocytes.
• A symptom of a zinc deficiency is an enlarged spleen. The spleen is a key organ involved in the immune system.
• Zinc is important for bone marrow, which is a key location where you make white blood cells.
• Zinc is involved in supporting your lungs and protecting the lungs against pathogens.
• Zinc can potentially reduce inflammation, especially in the lungs.
• Zinc can decrease your susceptibility to viruses and pathogens.
• Zinc can decrease the duration of infections.
• Zinc can act as a preventative measure.

Zinc is vitally important in making a strong immune system. The coronavirus targets a weakened immune system.

COVID-19 (Coronavirus) Cytokine Storm Simplified

Here’s what you need to know about a COVID-19 cytokine storm.

https://ift.tt/39v8vuM

2:52 The mast cell
3:12 Interferon
3:28 The cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells
3:42 Perforin
5:15 Zinc and perforin

Today I want to explain a little bit about the Coronavirus (COVID-19) cytokine storm.

What is a cytokine storm?
A cytokine storm is a situation that can occur in critical cases of the coronavirus.

A few things that are associated with a cytokine storm are:

• High fever
• Enlarged spleen
• A decrease or increase of the white blood cell count
• Low blood pressure
• Massive inflammation

Another name for cytokine storm is macrophage activation syndrome. A macrophage is a white blood cell.

A cytokine storm will typically occur when someone’s immune system is weak, they have a genetic weakness towards this condition, or they are overweight.

What is a cytokine?
A cytokine is a communication messenger. It signals the cells to do certain things. When the virus invades the cell, the cell will then send out these messages to let the immune system know there is a problem.

This is why a huge inflammatory reaction can occur. If it happens in the lungs, there can be destruction in the lungs. The cytokines basically tell your “soldiers” to fight.

The macrophages are large immune cells that can eat and dissolve certain things like microbes, viruses, and bacteria.

The B-cell is a part of the immune system that helps you develop antibodies. If you’re exposed to the virus later on, you have protection.

The mast cell is involved with histamine reactions.

Interferon releases cytokines, but this is not a cell, it’s a body chemical. This is heavily involved in attacking viruses.

Cytotoxic T cells and natural killer cells have a weapon to kill off the cell that’s infected with the virus. This weapon is called perforin.

It has been found that with a cytokine storm, perforin is defective. If a person has a genetic defect or problem making perforin and is deficient, that person may have a tendency to have a cytokine storm in the body. It could also be that a person’s immune system is weak and they are deficient in perforin.

Zinc can actually enhance perforin. This is just another reason to get more zinc.
