Why You Never Should Eat Raw Chicken

Never ever eat raw chicken! This is why.

Timestamps:

1:13 How to avoid food poisoning from chicken

In this video, I want to talk about why you should never consume raw chicken. Many people consume raw fish (sushi) or raw beef, but not chicken. Why is that?

Chicken and turkey contain certain bacteria that could give you food poisoning. This bacteria is called campylobacter bacteria.

75% of all grocery store chick tested positive for this bacteria. This is a bacteria that commonly known to live in the gut of chickens, turkeys, and other birds.

If you consume enough of this bacteria, you can potentially experience:
• Severe diarrhea
• Flu symptoms
• Fever
• Abdominal pain
• Cramping
• Guillain Barre syndrome

Antibiotics usually do not work—you can only manage the symptoms and let your immune system fight the infections.

You don’t need to wash the chicken. If you do wash the chicken, make sure you clean your hands thoroughly, along with anything you touched with contaminated hands and anything the chicken came in contact with. Cross-contamination can lead to food poisoning.

Make sure you cook the chicken thoroughly. You want the center to be at least 165ºF.
Certain temperates can destroy campylobacter bacteria. 48º c or 118.4º F will kill the bacteria. Freezing chicken can also kill the bacteria.

If your stomach has enough hydrochloric acid (HCL), it should be able to kill off small amounts of campylobacter bacteria. The problem is, many people do not have good stomach acids—especially as you get older. Antacids can also lower HCL levels, which can increase your risk of infection.

2:40 Consistency

I recently spoke with a woman who was telling me she was on keto and intermittent fasting, and it worked well for her. But, then, she stopped, and later when she started the program again, it didn’t work. Why would this happen?

The best way to mess up your metabolism is to go on and off of the program over and over. This confuses your metabolism.

Your metabolism is living and dynamic, and it adapts to the foods you eat. When you’re not consistent with keto and intermittent fasting, this can cause problems.

What you could do:

1. Healthy keto
• Keep the protein at a moderate amount (3-8oz.).
• The slower the metabolism, the lower you need to reduce your carbs. You may need to bring it down to 10g per day.
• Lower the fat to no less than 75g.

2. Fast longer
3. Sleep
4. Exercise
5. Reduce stress

It’s important to be consistent with this program. This way, you can take your body out of confusion so that it can work with you instead of against you.

The Best Vegetable for Gastritis is…

6:10 A plan for gastritis

Today we’re going to talk about the best vegetable for gastritis. I believe the best vegetable for gastritis is cabbage.

Gastritis is essentially an inflamed stomach. This is a major problem. It could take years for your stomach to become inflamed. Typically this is a chronic problem after taking Aspirin for many years, taking steroids, the overuse of antacids, or a bad diet. The main symptom of gastritis is upper central abdominal pain. There may also be bloating.

A few gastritis triggers:
• Chronic stress
• Not enough sleep
• Sugar and refined carbs
• Too much coffee
• H. Pylori (destroys the mucus lining, lowers stomach acid, lowers intrinsic factor)

There is a great natural remedy for gastritis that is actually the same remedy for H. pylori. You want to consume foods high in sulforaphane, which would be cabbage and broccoli sprouts. But, cabbage also has other phytonutrients that could greatly help in reducing inflammation because they’re anti-inflammatory. It’s also loaded with vitamin C, which can help clean up the free-radical damage coming from the inflammation.

If you have gastritis, your diet is crucial. You need to consume very high-quality foods, you need to cut out any junk, and you need to do intermittent fasting. Mastic gum may also help inhibit H. Pylori if you have an infection.

A few more things you could do for gastritis:
1. Take a probiotic
2. Chew on raw black seeds
3. Take zinc carnosine

You may want to start by having more cabbage and broccoli sprouts. Gastritis can take months to heal. Once it has healed, then you could start to acidify the stomach with apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride.

Cancer Spreads into Inflammation

There is something very important you need to understand about cancer and inflammation. Check this out.

DATA: https://ift.tt/2XX0Cuf

0:17 Cancer cells and macrophages
1:48 Does cancer migrate into areas of inflammation?
2:40 Tumors and the activation of cancer
3:04 Inflammation and the immune system
3:09 The purpose of inflammation
3:35 What could you do?

Today we’re going to talk about the spreading of cancer. What really kills most people with cancer is the migration of cancer. But, is this migration random, or does it follow a pattern?

Credible data suggests that cancer cells were created or derived from macrophages. Macrophages are a part of the innate immune system. Macrophages actually eat debris, viruses, bacteria, and much more. Many cancer cells even behave like macrophages. They actually eat T cells, red blood cells, and platelets.

Macrophages migrate to tissues that need healing—areas of inflammation. A lot of different cancers will migrate to the liver, lungs, and bone. These areas can be prone to inflammation. Macrophages come from monocytes, which come from bone marrow. This could be why there could be a spread of cancer to the bones. It seems cancer tends to migrate into areas of inflammation. There is even a name for this, which is “inflammation oncotaxis.”

It’s also known that tumors can reoccur after years of being in remission. This suggests that cancer can remain dormant for many years. Yet, it could be reactivated by inflammation, even at a distant location in the body.

Inflammation could both cause the spreading of cancer as well as the activation of dormant cancer. Inflammation, in general, can also weaken the immune system.

Inflammation is a response to:

• Infection
• Injury
• Trauma
• Stress
• Oxidation
• Increased blood flow
• Increased white blood cells
• Autoimmune conditions

What could you do?
I think it would be smart to actively and aggressively keep inflammation out of the body. I believe the two best ways to do this are:

1. Intermittent fasting
2. Keto

A few more natural things you could do:
• Vitamin D
• NAC
• Stinging nettle root
• O2 therapy
• Omega 3 fatty acids

Is Your Urine Smelling Like Burnt Popcorn?

So, your urine smells like burnt popcorn—why is this happening, and is it bad? Find out.

033 Is this bad?
0:44 What you can do

I recently had a question from someone wondering why their urine smells like burnt popcorn. Let’s cover why this could happen.

A strong urine odor that’s similar to burnt popcorn could mean that you’re making a lot of ketones. You’re not making too many to put you in ketoacidosis. But, you’re making a high amount, which is also concentrated.

This typically happens after a person has been fasting for 16-20 hours. You may especially have smelly urine when you first wake up in the morning because your urine is more concentrated.

If your urine smells like popcorn, this is not necessarily a bad thing. It could just mean that you’re in some pretty hard-core ketosis. It means that what you’re doing is working. You can even test your urine or blood to really see this.

What you can do:

1. Adjust your protein (you may be consuming too much protein)
2. Adjust your fluids (consume more fluids)

Salmon vs Cod: Which is Healthier?

In this video, we’re going to talk about salmon vs. cod and which is healthier. One thing to make a note of is that if you choose salmon or cod, make sure it’s wild-caught instead of farm-raised. It’s been thought that you should consume more cod because consuming fatty fish will clog your arteries. But, I don’t believe that’s true at all.

Salmon (3 oz):
Protein — 25.4g
Saturated fat — 1.2g
Vitamins —
• B3 — 45%
• B12 — 45%
• B6 — 45%
• B2 — 25%
• B1 — 15%
• Folate — 6%

Cod (3 oz):
Protein — 22.8g
Saturated fat — trace amounts
Vitamins —
• B3 — 10%
• B12 — 15%
• B6 — 10%
• B2 — 4%
• B1 — 6%
• Folate — 2%

Both of these types of fish have a small amount of mercury. But you shouldn’t need to be concerned, because they also have a good amount of selenium. Selenium is used by the body to counter the toxic effect of mercury.

Here is the biggest difference when it comes to salmon vs. cod:

• Salmon has 2,208mg of omega 3 fatty acids.
• Cod has 171mg of omega 3 fatty acids.

In my opinion, salmon is a healthier choice. I also think that when you consume fish, it may be best to leave the skin on it. There’s a lot of benefits from the skin and the fat that’s just underneath the skin.

Iodine and Your Immune System

Iodine has some pretty amazing and unique effects on the immune system. Here’s what you need to know.

Today we’re going to talk about iodine and immune system health. I’ve talked a lot about important nutrients like zinc, vitamin D, and vitamin C in relation to the immune system. But I haven’t talked about iodine. Iodine has a unique influence on the immune system.

You need about 150mcg of iodine per day. Many people, around 2 billion, are deficient in iodine. Sea kelp seems to be the best source of iodine, but there are other great iodine sources as well.

The best iodine-rich foods are:
• Sea kelp
• Shellfish
• Fish
• Eggs
• Dairy

Iodine is needed for the thyroid. The thyroid is the gland that stores iodine and helps make thyroid hormones. If you’re deficient in iodine, your thyroid stimulating hormone can go up. Thyroid stimulating hormone has a few different functions. One would be that it causes the thyroid to get bigger. Another function is that it increases the release of the thyroid hormone T4, which can then be converted to T3.

Something else that messes with the thyroid is estrogen. It just so happens that iodine is a great mineral to help lower high levels of estrogen.

Iodine and all of the trace minerals are very important for pregnant women. If a pregnant woman is deficient in iodine, there could be massive problems for the child, including:

• Intellectual disabilities
• Deafness
• Stunted growth

Iodine and the immune system:

1. Enhances dendritic cells
2. Supports B-cell development
3. Helps stimulate phagocytes
4. Enhances natural killer cells
5. Enhances cytokines
6. Good for memory cells

Today we’re going to talk about how to fix a hoarse and raspy voice. My unique technique could help improve this issue in two minutes or less. This technique is so simple yet very powerful.

You won’t find studies on this. It’s a technique I came up with and used in my clinic from being in practice for 29 years. You can use a device and do this technique yourself, or you can get someone else to help you.

How to apply this technique:
(reference the video at 1:55 for an in-depth demonstration)

1. Rate your condition on a scale from 1-10 (10 being very severe)
2. Locate the problem and put your finger on it
3. Apply pressure on the exact opposite side (on the back of the neck) for 1-2 minutes—rate your condition again and adjust the technique
4. Do this 2-3 times per day

This may not work completely if you have an infection that needs to simply run its course. But, even in this case, you may still see some improvement in the vocal cords.

4:07 Keeping HPV in remission

Today we’re going to talk about the best natural remedy for HPV (human papillomavirus). HPV is one of the most common STIs (sexually transmitted infections). 90% of people who have HPV don’t have any symptoms. It’s not necessarily a disease—it’s an infection that could potentially turn into a disease.

HPV could potentially lead to cancer in parts of the body, including the:
• Cervix
• Vagina
• Penis
• Anus
• Mouth
• Throat

This virus goes into the cells, and it kills or damages a lot of them. The cells now develop a different form of metabolism where they will start fermenting glucose. They basically flip over from a healthy cell to a cancer cell. One unique thing about cancer cells is that they don’t have a limit to how long they can live.

There is a very good potential remedy for HPV that basically has no side effects. It’s used in over 700 hospitals in Japan, and Yale and Harvard are interested in researching this compound. It’s call AHCC (active hexose correlated compound). This is essentially an extract from a mushroom.

AHCC may help keep HPV in remission as well as enhance the immune system. This enhancement of the immune system may help kill off any abnormal cells growing in the body.

Vitamin D may also be very beneficial because it’s considered to be an antiviral. I would consider taking between 10,000 and 20,000 IUs.

The key is to keep this virus in remission. A few things that could help are:
• Having enough zinc, vitamin C, and vitamin D
• Consuming a low carb diet
• Keep your stress as low as possible

Today I want to evaluate the “so-called” keto-friendly Ice creams. You’re going to be exposed to a lot of different products, and sometimes it’s hard to know if they’re actually healthy.

For something to be keto, it needs to be low-carb. But, even that is a loose term with no legal definition.

Healthy keto is a healthy version of the ketogenic diet. This includes nutrient-dense foods that have higher-quality ingredients.

Most of these brands use a sugar alcohol called erythritol. What’s good about erythritol is that it’s zero on the glycemic index. What’s bad about it is that unless it’s non-GMO, it could be made from GMO ingredients. None of the major brands that advertise keto ice cream stated if it was non-GMO.

Looking deeper at a few Keto ice cream brands
• Enlightened — 7g sugar alcohol/sugar
• Keto — 8g sugar alcohol/tapioca fiber
• Rebel — 9g sugar alcohol
• Halo — 10g of net carbs (contains wheat flour and sugar)

Some of the other ingredients in keto ice cream:
• Dairy — is it organic?
• Sugar — You don’t want any sugar
• Wheat — You don’t want any wheat
• Tapioca — You don’t want any tapioca
• Egg yolk — is it organic?

The biggest problem with every single one of these “so-called” keto-friendly ice cream brands is an ingredient called MPC (milk protein concentrate). Another name for this would be milk protein isolates. MPC is a group of proteins that come from milk that are dehydrated and dried out. It has a combination of casein, whey protein, and other proteins. These proteins have been linked to inflammation in the liver.

Something many people don’t realize is that almost all milk-protein concentrates are imported from China and Mexico. These imported products are also not regulated.

#1 Reason Why Your Kid is Overweight

Do you know the #1 reason why your child may be overweight? It’s not exercise, it’s snacking. The carbs are the #2 reason, but snacking is a slightly bigger problem.

3:33 What you could do

Today we’re going to talk about the #1 reason your child may be overweight. Consuming too many carbohydrates might be number two, but the number one reason is snacking.

The problem with snacking is that you have various hormones that are secreted in your stomach and small intestine that will stimulate insulin after you eat. Snacking in-between the meals could keep insulin high. Insulin actually prevents the loss of fat, as well as causes the storage of fat.

The most common snacks kids are fed:
1. Flavored yogurt—3.5oz has about 13g of sugar
2. Popcorn—very high on the glycemic index
3. Applesauce—very high on the glycemic index
4. Energy bar—a granola bar could have 19g of net carbs
5. Juice—very high on the glycemic index
6. Crackers and peanut butter—can be very high on the glycemic index
7. Apples—on average contain around 19g of sugar

What you could do:
• Don’t keep any snacks that are high in carbohydrates in the house.
• Make a transition to no snacking using healthier snacks first.
• Ideally, don’t give the child any snacks. Give them 3 nutrient-dense meals, with enough calories and healthy fats.

How to STOP Prediabetes Going Into Diabetes

NEW KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting:

Here’s how to stop prediabetes going into diabetes. This is important.

6:13 Symptoms of insulin resistance
8:19 Other problems with sugar

Today we’re going to talk about how to help stop a person from going from a prediabetic state to a diabetic state. This is a very important concept.

The difference between prediabetes and diabetes has to do with your blood sugars.

• With prediabetes, your blood sugars are around 100-125, with an A1C of 5.7-6.4%.
• With diabetes, your blood sugars are 126 and greater, with an A1C of 6.5% or greater.

When we’re talking about diabetes type 2, we’re talking about the elevation of sugar in your blood. A normal blood sugar level should be about 80. This is equal to about 1 tsp of sugar in all of your blood. Your body can make this sugar itself. You don’t need to consume any sugar. The average person consumes about 31 tsp of sugar every day (including carbs).

Insulin acts as a filter that keeps excess sugar out of the blood. The body does not want high amounts of sugar in the blood. Your body considers excess sugar to be very dangerous.

If a person is consuming a lot of carbohydrates and eats frequently, they could have a huge amount of insulin being released. This insulin is working very hard to keep the sugar down. But, high levels of insulin are toxic to the body as well. So, your body starts to reduce insulin by creating resistance. This is called insulin resistance.

The problem is that the body still has to keep the blood sugar under control, so it begins to produce more and more insulin to try to keep the sugar at a normal level. This could go on for a long time until, eventually, the pancreas is exhausted and can’t pump out that much insulin.

At this point, if you keep consuming carbohydrates and eating frequently, the blood sugar is going to go up. This happens because the insulin is going down. Over time this could turn into diabetes.

To help avoid all of this, you can cut out the carbs and start doing intermittent fasting.

Doctors are focused on blood sugars. They typically do not measure if you have insulin resistance. 90% of people that are prediabetic don’t even know.

If you look down and you can’t see your feet, you may have insulin resistance.

Symptoms of insulin resistance:
• Frequent urination (even at night)
• Brain fog
• Can’t go long without being hungry
• Cravings
• Tired after meals
• Tingling feet

4:03 What you could do

In this video, we’re going to talk about keto rash. This is an updated video on the topic because I wanted to give you a little bit more of an understanding of what really causes keto rash.

When you go on a keto diet, you make several changes. You typically wouldn’t make changes to the amount of protein you eat, but you would make changes to the amount of carbs and fats you eat.

It may be the increase in dietary fat that’s causing the keto rash because your body needs time to adjust to the amount of fat you’re consuming. If you’re taking in a lot of fat, but you don’t have the ability to digest it, that’s when there can be a problem.

Bile salts are made by the liver and are stored in the gallbladder. The purpose of bile salts is to break down fat and to help extract fat-soluble vitamins and essential fatty acids from the fat you eat. If you don’t have enough bile, you could end up with:

• Low vitamin A
• Low vitamin D
• Low vitamin E
• Toxins
• Rashes
• Dermatitis

There is another skin condition that sometimes appears when people start the keto diet called prurigo pigmentosa. This skin condition also sometimes occurs after someone has their gallbladder removed, or if the person has problems with their bile ducts. Adding purified bile salts to the diet may help with this skin problem.

A deficiency in B2 (riboflavin) is also connected to keto rash. Another name for B2 is vitamin G.

A few things about B2:

• B2 is a cofactor in fat metabolism.
• When you add more fat to the diet, the requirement for B2 goes up.
• B2 can help support the liver.
• A big symptom of a B2 deficiency is pellagra, which can give you a skin rash.

What you could do:

• Take purified bile salts right after each meal
• Try reducing the amount of fats you consume

Why Being Fat Weakens Your Immune System

NEW KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

Your own fat could actually weaken your immune system. Here’s what you need to know.

2:37 Inflammation and insulin resistance
4:38 What you could do

Today we’re going to talk about the relationship between your fat and your immune system. What you really need to know is that obesity can weaken the immune system.

There are two main types of fat:
1. Superficial fat
This is the fat around the body, which is right below your skin. With superficial fat, you’re going to have more accumulation of B cells, which make antibodies. You’re also going to have more T cells, which are also immune cells.

2. Visceral fat
This is the fat in your midsection that’s spilling off from a fatty liver. In this case, the fat goes around and sometimes even inside of the organs. With visceral fat, you have more natural killer cells and killer T cells.

This means you could have a lot of cytokines, which can cause a lot of inflammation. T-regulatory cells are supposed to suppress the cause of this inflammation, but you can be deficient in these cells when you have too much visceral fat.

The other problem with having too much visceral fat is that the antibodies that you create against viruses and bacteria tend to lose their memory a lot faster. So, you have less fighting force when you have visceral fat.

This situation can cause inflammation, which can weaken the immune system. Inflammation can also lead to insulin resistance.

* This can apply to the COVID-19 situation in that one of the big predisposing factors is being overweight. Not to mention the other problems that come with being overweight.

If someone is prediabetic, inflammation could be just the thing to push them into diabetes. The real difference between prediabetes and diabetes is that insulin resistance suddenly fails to compensate for insulin, and then the shift takes place.

• Do intermittent fasting

The Benefits of Salt for the Immune System

The benefits of salt for the immune system are incredible. Are you getting enough salt?

0:52 What happens when you don’t have enough salt?
1:05 How hypochlorite works
2:20 What causes a salt deficiency?

Today we’re going to talk about the potential benefits of salt for the immune system. It all has to do with a certain chemical called hypochlorite, which is the chemical name for bleach. Two of your immune cells actually make bleach to kill microbes. The body makes bleach from chloride—as in sodium chloride. It comes from salt.

If you don’t have enough salt in your body, this mechanism becomes severely compromised.

Hypochlorite (bleach) is a broad-spectrum microbicide, which basically poisons the microbe. It’s also much stronger than another chemical that these two immune cells use called hydrogen peroxide.

What could cause a salt deficiency?
• Not consuming enough salt
• Keto
• Diarrhea
• Vomiting
• Diuretics
• Too much potassium without salt
• Adrenal burnout
• Too much H2O
• Endurance exercise

**When you take salt, I think sea salt is the best way to go. I really like pink Himalayan sea salt.

When talking about unhealthy people, I mean those people who have pre-existing health problems, such as metabolic syndrome.

A few examples of metabolic syndrome are:

• High blood pressure
• Cardiovascular disease
• High cholesterol
• Diabetes
• Obesity
• Insulin resistance

I created two categories: healthy people and unhealthy people. I put the infection fatality rates underneath each category. I also added additional data from a study out of Santa Clara, which revealed there could have been more people that were infected with the coronavirus.

With this study, they used the antibody test. This means they didn’t test for the infection but for the antibodies. A person who has antibodies to COVID-19 has already been infected by the virus and recovered. Looking at all of the data, including the antibody test, it seems the virus may be much less dangerous than once believed.

Looking at the healthy group according to this data (out of the people who have been infected):

Ages 0-17 — Have a 99.9995% survival rate
Ages 18-44 — Have a 99.9784% survival rate
Ages 45-64 — Have a 99.9029% survival rate
Ages 65-74 — Have a 99.8295% survival rate
Ages 75+ — Have a 99.6226% survival rate

Looking at the unhealthy group according to this data (out of the people who have been infected):

Ages 0-17 — Have a 99.9988% survival rate
Ages 18-44 — Have a 99.9051% survival rate
Ages 45-64 — Have a 99.4325% survival rate
Ages 65-74 — Have a 99.4425% survival rate
Ages 75+ — Have a 98.9697% survival rate

So, is the real problem the virus, or a weak immune system/metabolic syndrome?

A big problem is that we’re lumping both categories together and treating both groups the same—when the great majority fall in the healthy category and not the unhealthy category.

The entire focus has been on the virus. But, what about what we could do for metabolic syndrome and the immune system? Fixing the virus will not fix the pre-existing health problems, so the next time the virus comes around, we have the same problem happening over and over again.

Let’s talk about why some people enjoy having MCT oil in their coffee.

You may have heard of something called bulletproof coffee. Bulletproof coffee is one 8oz-12oz cup of coffee mixed with 1-2 tbsp of butter and 1-2 tbsp of MCT oil.

There can be a lot of benefits of consuming this, especially when you’re first starting out on keto and intermittent fasting because it may help you fast for longer.

MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. These are special fats usually made from coconut oil that turns into ketones pretty fast. This helps you potentially generate ketones as fuel without really changing your diet.

Sometimes, when making bulletproof coffee, people also add ingredients such as:
• Turmeric
• Cinnamon
• Unflavored chocolate powder
• Sea salt
• Chili powder

Benefits of MCT oil in coffee:

1. More physical energy
2. Increased mental clarity
3. Reduced appetite
4. More oxygen
5. Increased fasting
6. Helps with the transition to burning fat

Pretty much all MCT oil companies get their products from the same source. The United States doesn’t grow coconuts, so MCT oil comes from non-US sources. I have an MCT oil product that is from Indonesia.

I believe that typically MCT oil is overpriced. Many brands sell MCT oil for $25 to $45 for one 16oz bottle. I sell my MCT oil for $12.95.

Many people enjoy bulletproof coffee, you may want to give it a try too!
