If you have neck pain for no reason, this video is for you.

Timestamps
0:00 Neck pain with no injury
0:23 What causes neck pain without injury
3:39 What you could do for neck pain without injury

Today I want to cover what to do if you have neck pain for no reason (there was no injury). The problem behind neck pain without injury is not actually in your neck. Your neck pain may be referred pain from something in your digestive system. Something you ate may be causing a problem in your gallbladder, the ducts that go to the gallbladder, or the ducts that extend over to the pancreas.

If there is a blockage, some type of sludge, or irritation in these ducts, it can put pressure on the diaphragm, which is connected to two nerves. These nerves are the phrenic nerves. These nerves go from your diaphragm up to either side of the neck. When there is pressure on the phrenic nerves, there can be pain and tightness on the right or left side of the neck.

Potential causes of referred neck pain:
• You consumed too many omega-6 fatty acids
• You consumed too many nuts or nut butters
• You consumed refined grains
• You consumed packaged foods

What you could do for neck pain without injury:
• Take purified bile salts (on an empty stomach a few times a day)
• Change your diet (do healthy keto and intermittent fasting)

3:28 Summary

In this video, I want to cover the drugs that deplete vitamin D.

Drugs that deplete vitamin D:

1. Corticosteroids
These are typically used as an anti-inflammatory. But, vitamin D is actually one of the best anti-inflammatories.

2. Antibiotics
Certain antibiotics block your absorption of vitamin D. Without vitamin D you could end up with leaky gut, increasing the chances of autoimmune diseases, allergies, and more.

3. SSRIs
Antidepressants could block vitamin D. But, vitamin D could have therapeutic benefits for depression.

4. Phenobarbital
This is used as an anti-anxiety medication and is also used for seizures. Vitamin D could help reduce stress and anxiety and could even reduce the risk of seizures.

5. Dilantin
Dilantin is used for seizures, but it blocks vitamin D.

6. Cholestyramine
This is a medication that blocks bile and cholesterol. But, cholesterol is needed to make vitamin D.

7. Ulcer medications
A big cause of ulcers is the microbe H.pylori. There is some research that shows that vitamin D could help eradicate H.pylori.

0:38 The brain and vitamin B1
1:54 The RDAs for B1

2:57 The best source of vitamin B1

Today I want to share with you the best vitamin for emotional instability. There are other causes of emotional instability that have nothing to do with nutrition as well. But, I want to talk about the nutrient connection to your emotions. I believe the best vitamin for emotional instability may be vitamin B1.

If you’re deficient in vitamin B1, you could experience emotional instability and delirium. Delirium is mental confusion and emotional disruption. Delirium can also often occur when an alcoholic or drug addict is going through withdrawal symptoms.

There are certain specific parts of the brain that require B1:
• The hippocampus
• The Amygdala
• The mammillary bodies

The RDAs for vitamin B1 is only 2mg. Vitamin B1 is water-soluble, so you don’t store a lot of it. You’re body only needs a small amount of it, but it needs it consistently. You will need more vitamin B1 if you consume carbs. The more carbohydrates or sugar you consume, the more vitamin B1 you’ll need.

Things that can deplete vitamin B1:
• Glucose
• Stress
• Chlorine
• Refined foods

Other vitamin B1 deficiency symptoms:
1. Irritability
2. Depression
3. Anxiety
4. Confusion
5. Memory loss
6. Lack of initiative
7. Poor learning
8. Poor concentration

The best source of vitamin B1 is nutritional yeast. If you’re going to buy a vitamin B1 supplement, a natural version over a synthetic version may be the best way to go. But, unfortified or unenriched nutritional yeast should have enough vitamin B1.

4:01 Keto recipe channel promo

In this video, we’re going to talk about a topic that comes up often. It has to do with what puts you into ketosis. Many people think it takes consuming more fat to put your body into the state of ketosis.

The truth is, you don’t necessarily need to consume more fat. Instead, you need to lower your carbohydrates. Carbs affect insulin, and insulin blocks ketosis. The key is to lower your carbs.

Ketosis is also not a high-protein diet. You want to consume only a moderate amount of protein. 3-8 oz of protein is fine. You also don’t want to consume lean protein—low-fat protein can exacerbate insulin spikes. Always consume full-fat foods.

Why do you need dietary fat on ketosis?
1. Fat helps you fast longer (lowers hunger and cravings)
2. Fat supplies you with nutrients (essential fats and fat-soluble vitamins)
3. Fat stimulates bile
4. Fat triggers healthy hormones
5. Fat supplies your body with healthy tissue
6. Fat slows the absorption of protein
7. Fat helps you maintain your weight

In this video, I’m going to share with you a little bit about the berry that has the strongest anti-cancer effect. It’s the bilberry. Out of 10 berries tested, bilberry was rated #1 in its anti-cancer effects.

Bilberry may inhibit human leukemia cells. It also could inhibit the human colon carcinoma cell in vitro.

The bilberry has some of the largest amounts of a phytonutrient called anthocyanin, which is a plant-based compound that has one of the greatest free radical scavenging activities.

There are certain antioxidant properties in this berry. Antioxidants are a protective factor against oxidation. There have been interesting studies on using bilberry for chronic inflammatory conditions. The phytonutrients from this berry can decrease the collateral damage that occurs from these chronic health conditions.

What Happens When You Fast and When You Eat?

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

How does your body function when you eat vs. when you fast? Watch to find out.

2:23 This is what happens when you fast

4:38 Keto recipe channel promo

In this video, we’re going to talk about what happens when you eat vs. when you fast.

– When you eat –
When you eat, you have glucose, amino acids, and fatty acids in your blood. In turn, this increases insulin. The first thing that happens is these nutrients supply the cell with energy. The extra energy turns into glycogen. Glycogen is the storage of glucose molecules.

To store glucose, you need potassium. When you store glucose, you also store water. For every one molecule of glycogen, you have 3.8 water molecules.

If you are trying to lose weight and you’re consuming carbs, keep in mind that it’s not just the glycogen that’s adding to your weight—it’s also all of the water that you retain inside your glycogen units.

You have about 100 grams of glycogen in your liver and 500 grams of glycogen in your muscle tissue. Any extra glycogen is turned into fat.

As you put on fat, you also develop insulin resistance.

– When you fast –
When you fast, this whole process works in reverse—your glucose level decreases, which causes a decrease in insulin. The body starts to use the excess glucose in the blood. Next, you start to use the glycogen reserves in your liver.

After 6-12 hours, your liver glycogen is depleted. Next, your body starts to convert stored fat into ketones. It takes 12-72 hours to go into ketosis.

After this, your body goes through autophagy. Autophagy is an efficient system that helps clean up old and damaged proteins as well as microbes.

Autophagy is very therapeutic—it helps regrow brain tissue, repair heart tissue, and strengthen your immune system.

The MOST Important Action for Adrenal Fatigue

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

The medical profession doesn’t recognize adrenal fatigue as an actual condition. But, this doesn’t make sense. If a person has too much adrenal function, this is called Cushing’s disease, and if you don’t have enough adrenal hormones, this is called Addison’s disease. So, why couldn’t someone develop wear and tear, breakdown, or fatigue of the adrenal glands?

The two big symptoms of adrenal fatigue are:
1. Chronic fatigue
2. Chronic inflammation

The most important thing you can do for adrenal fatigue is to get more sleep. Sleep helps improve stress. It’s not always just about the diet. In this situation, it’s about recovering and restoring sleep.

A few main causes of poor sleep:
• Pain and inflammation (take vitamin D)
• Nightmares (take nutritional yeast)
• EMF
• A high pulse rate or high blood pressure (take potassium, magnesium, and vitamin D)
• Heart arrhythmias (Take potassium, magnesium, berberine, quinine, and forskolin)

A few more things that may help:
• Long walks
• Lower your carbohydrates
• Go to sleep when you’re tired
• Take naps
• Isolate what’s causing your stress and do what you can to improve your stress

The First Sign of Low Vitamin D is…

3:17 Keto recipe channel promo

In this video, I’m going to talk about the first sign of low vitamin D.

The first sign many people experience when they’re low on vitamin D is a low backache. This is very important to look out for. If you notice low back pain that won’t go away with any treatment, look at your vitamin D level.

How does low vitamin D cause low back pain? Well, vitamin D is vital for your immune system, blood pressure level, sleep, mood, and inflammation level.

Vitamin D acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory that also helps you get rid of pain.

If you notice achenes in your lower back at night, this could be related to vitamin D.

Try squatting down and then getting back up from a squatting position. Rate your difficulty. Next, take 40,000 IUs of vitamin D and wait an hour. Then, try squatting and getting back up again and rate your difficulty. If vitamin D is your problem, you should see a significant improvement.

If you are very deficient in vitamin D, you should see those results fairly quickly. However, sometimes it can take a day or two to really see the results. Try again after a day and rate your difficulty again.

This pain can spread to your pelvis, hips, upper legs, and upper arms as well. Low vitamin D can also cause bone pain in your ribs—especially if you lightly press on your breast bone.

Vitamin D can affect your muscle tone, as well. If you waddle back and forth, this could be a sign of low vitamin D.

You can find vitamin D in cod liver oil, fatty fish, eggs, and dairy. However, it’s almost impossible to get enough vitamin D from dietary sources. The best source of vitamin D is to get out in the sun. If you can’t get enough sunlight, take a vitamin D3 supplement with vitamin K2.

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

Let me clear up some confusion about calories vs. appetite on keto and intermittent fasting.

There has been a lot of confusion for keto and intermittent fasting beginners concerning calories, as well as the concept of not eating unless you’re hungry.

The mainstream recommendation for calories per day is:
Female — 2000
Male — 2500

But, of course, the mainstream recommendation doesn’t take into account that you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting. When you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting, you’re switching your fuel source to your own fat calories. So, it’s not just about the dietary calories you’re consuming. It’s also about including the calories that are on your body as stored fat.

There are other factors to consider, as well, such as:
• Age
• Metabolism
• Stress
• Activity

In the past, I’ve said to not eat unless you’re hungry. But, I want to add a few things to clarify this. If you don’t have energy, your mood is off (you have anxiety, depression, or grouchiness), or you don’t have much strength, you may be missing fuel or nutrients.

When you eat, it’s important to make sure you’re consuming nutrient-dense foods. After you eat, you’re going to be fasting, and you need to make sure you have enough nutrients to run your body on.

When you’re fasting, you’re going through autophagy, which is a process where you’re body is becoming very efficient. Autophagy also slows down the need for nutrients.

A few ways to know if you need more nutrients:
• You’re losing hair (you may need more B vitamins or trace minerals)
• You’re losing muscle mass (you may need more amino acids)

How to know if you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting correctly? Pay attention to you’re:
• Appetite
• Energy
• Mood
• Strength

The Best Vitamin for Sciatica

Today I’m going to share with you the best vitamin for sciatica. Sciatica is pain down the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve comes from the lumbar spine all the way down the back part of the leg and into the foot. It’s the longest and biggest nerve in the body.

The sciatic nerve needs certain nutrients to function correctly. But, the deficiency that will create the most damage to the sciatic nerve is a vitamin B2 deficiency (riboflavin). But, B12 and B1 are also important. Taking the B complex may be the best way to go. Benfotiamine may also be beneficial. Benfotiamine is fat-soluble B1.

Other symptoms of a vitamin B2 deficiency:
1. Peripheral neuropathy
2. The limbs are weak
3. Skin lesions or problems
4. A swollen mouth or tongue (or red tongue)
5. A break down of the nervous system
6. Cracked heels
7. Oily skin (especially around the nose)
8. Hearing loss

A vitamin B2 deficiency can be caused by not consuming enough foods that are high in vitamin B2. But, it can also be caused by a problem with the gut that destroys your ability to absorb nutrients. In this situation, you may just need more than the average amount of B2.

Foods high in vitamin B2:
• Liver
• Beef
• Clams (and other shellfish)
• Mushrooms
• Nuts
• Cheese
• Eggs
• Fish
• Green vegetables

High Fat Diets Are Only Dangerous if…

In this video, Dr. Berg explains the dangers of doing high fat diets. High fat diets are only dangerous if you combine it with sugar. The combination of sugar to a fat or protein is called glycation or combining a pure carbohydrates, meat or fat and cook it could create what is called AGE’s or Advanced Glycation End products.

Effects of AGE’s in the Body
• Stiffen Things
• Clog
• Inflammation
• Age the Body
• Involved in many degenerative diseases – Diabetes, Liver Disease, Alzheimer’s, Heart Disease, Kidney Disease

So I know you have heard that high fat diets are bad for you, they’re very dangerous, but in reality, high fat diets are only dangerous if you are combining them with sugar. There’s a term I want to introduce you to it’s called glycation. What is glycation? What’s happening is you’re bonding sugar to a fat or protein so when you consume sugar with protein or sugar with fat, you create this glycation as in deep fried french fries, barbecue ribs, doughnuts, so you’re combining a carbohydrate with sugar, meat with sugar, pure carbohydrate with fat and you cook it, you create AGEs or Advanced Glycation End-products. Now what is that? That is a compound that gives you very sticky protein, they stiffen things, they make the arteries stiffer. They clog things up, they create inflammation, they age the body, they’re involved in many degenerative diseases, as in diabetes, liver disease, alzheimer’s, heart disease, kidney disease . Now the two things that can create this effect are the combination of sugar with either protein or fat when it’s cooked, when you consume it, or if you’re consuming these separately at the same time, the body heat will create that situation. So if you avoid sugar you have nothing to worry about.

Could a vitamin C deficiency be what’s behind your joint pain? Find out.

0:00 Joint pain and vitamin C
0:10 What does vitamin C do?
1:18 Sugar and vitamin C
2:24 The two top signs of a vitamin C deficiency

Let’s talk about joint pain and vitamin C. Could your joint pain be caused by a vitamin C deficiency?

What you need to know about vitamin C:
• It’s involved with collagen synthesis
• It can help lower inflammation
• The need for vitamin C increases with stress (such as infection or surgery)
• Vitamin C is an antioxidant and a cofactor for opioids
• Vitamin C is required for collagen
• Vitamin C can’t be absorbed in the presence of sugar

If you’re consuming sugar, or you’re prediabetic or diabetic, that elevated sugar situation could prevent vitamin C from being absorbed. Vitamin C and glucose have a similar chemistry. In the presence of vitamin C and glucose, your body will always absorb glucose before the vitamin C. Insulin resistance could also cause a person to be deficient in vitamin C.

This could easily show up as joint pain. Fatigue and joint pain are the two top indicators that you could have a vitamin C deficiency.

You may just need to cut sugar out of the diet.

In this short video, we’re going to talk about why babies and children rarely show COVID-19 symptoms. If pregnant women, babies, and children are susceptible to the flu, how come they don’t seem to be susceptible to COVID-19?

Three potential reasons why babies and children rarely show COVID-19 symptoms:

1. Babies and children have not developed ACE-2 receptors in enough cells yet. The virus attacks the cells through the ACE-2 receptor.

2. They have strong immune systems. The thymus gland, which helps train your immune cells, is largest when you’re a baby.

3. They don’t have any other health issues. Health problems like diabetes, obesity, and high blood pressure could compound a person’s susceptibility to COVID-19.

Why Fasting Lowers Your Thyroid Hormone T3 a Little Bit

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

Here’s why fasting lowers your thyroid hormone. Check this out.

Timestamps:
0:00 Fasting effects on thyroid hormones
0:15 Thyroid hormones
1:30 Why fasting lowers T3

In this video, we’re going to talk about fasting and thyroid hormones. Sometimes, going on a fast can lower a thyroid hormone called T3. This is the active form of the thyroid hormone.

The pituitary communicates to the thyroid through a hormone called the thyroid stimulating hormone. One of the main ways hypothyroidism is diagnosed is by looking at the thyroid stimulating hormone. When you’re fasting and doing the healthy keto diet, you won’t see a change in the thyroid stimulating hormone. So, you are not going to have a true hypothyroid condition.

The thyroid releases T4, which is the inactive form of the thyroid hormone. To become activated, it has to work through the liver and into the kidney. It converts from T4 to T3 (the active form). There is also something called reverse T3, which is the inactive version of T3. What determines the rate and ratio of this conversion of T4 to T3 or reverse T3 is the metabolic need.

When you do a fast, you may see a slight decrease in T3. But, you will see an increase in the reverse T3. You’re body is becoming more efficient with its fuel, so the need for the active form of the thyroid hormone is going to be slightly less. The body will then put some of that hormone into a reserve until you need it.

Situations where you could see higher amounts of reverse T3:

1. When you’re doing fasting

2. When you’re recovering from:
• A stroke
• An injury
• Overtraining
• An illness
• A surgery

3. When you’ve just lost a good amount of weight

It’s not a disease state. You will still feel fine, you will still lose weight, and you won’t have any symptoms.

6 Things Muscles Tell You About Your Nutrient Status

Are your muscles trying to tell you something? Here’s what you can find out about your nutrient status from your muscles.

Today we’re going to talk about the 6 things that your muscles will tell you about your nutrient status. This is a very important video for those who have any type of problem with the muscles. The muscle is an organ, and it’s a great indicator of all sorts of nutrient deficiencies in the body.

6 things your muscles tell you about your nutrient status:

1. Pain and inflammation (especially low back pain)
This could be a vitamin D deficiency

2. Low recovery from exercise
This could be an omega-3 fatty acid deficiency.

3. Burning in the muscles (or restless leg syndrome)
This could be a condition called lactic acidosis, where there is too much lactic acid in the muscles. This could be a vitamin B1 deficiency. Nutritional yeast may help as well as avoiding refined carbs and sugar.

4. Twitching or tetany
This could be a low calcium situation. You could take calcium (not calcium carbonate) but, if you’re doing enough calcium foods, it could be that you’re too alkaline. If you’re too alkaline, you could try taking apple cider vinegar.

5. Cramps
This could be a potassium deficiency, magnesium deficiency, or a sodium deficiency. You may need salt or these electrolytes.

6. Weak muscles
This could be a vitamin E deficiency. The type of vitamin E that you may need is called tocotrienols.

How to Increase Glutathione, the Master Antioxidant

Glutathione: what you need to know about the master antioxidant.

Timestamps
0:00 Glutathione
0:10 What is a free radical?
0:37 What is an antioxidant?
1:20 Glutathione
3:35 How to increase glutathione
4:15 Things that decrease glutathione

Today we’re going to talk about the master antioxidant, which is glutathione. But first, what is an antioxidant? To understand what an antioxidant is, you really need to know what a free radical is.

Let’s look at an atom with paired electrons. If one of those electrons is missing, this is an unpaired electron, making it unstable. This is called a free radical. Free radicals can create a lot of destruction throughout the cells, the cell machinery, the DNA, and more.

An antioxidant then comes along and donates the missing electron to balance out the atom and stabilize it. The problem is, that the antioxidant now loses its electron, and it becomes unstable. It then needs to get an electron from another antioxidant. This is why you have antioxidants in networks.

It may not be a good idea to take synthetic antioxidants because they have been known to cause cancer. This is because they don’t come in networks. Once they donate their electron, they become the problem.

Glutathione is the most abundant antioxidant in the liver, but all of the cells make it. It reduces oxidative stress. Glutathione can help neutralize toxins that your body actually makes for various things. Glutathione also helps maintain exogenous antioxidants like vitamin C, and vitamin E. It not only acts as an antioxidant, but it also helps in detoxification. Because glutathione is sulfur, when you eat certain foods high in sulfur, you will give your body the raw material it needs to make more glutathione.

How to boost glutathione naturally:
• Sulfur-based vegetables (cruciferous vegetables)
• Vitamin C
• Selenium
• Milk thistle
• Fasting

What decreases glutathione?
• Alcohol
• Stress
• Age
• Drugs
• Toxins

Why Does Potassium Work for Hypertension?

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL:

Here’s how potassium may help reduce hypertension. Check this out.

2:08 Sodium and potassium
2:27 What potassium does
2:50 What to do for hypertension
3:03 Another cause of high blood pressure
3:15 Potassium and strokes

Today we’re going to talk about why potassium may help lower blood pressure. Only about 2% of Americans get enough potassium. We need about 4700mg of potassium a day to achieve the RDAs for potassium.

Bananas only have about 300mg of potassium, and they also have a lot of sugar. Leafy greens and other vegetables may be much better sources of potassium. But people are not getting the amount of vegetables they need. We need 7-10 cups of leafy greens (like a salad) every day. If you’re eating more dense vegetables (like broccoli), or you have a dense chopped salad, you will need less. You can also get potassium from fish, certain meats, nuts, and avocados.

Refined carbs and sugar can deplete potassium, as well as stress, and diuretics.

90% of American’s are consuming too much of the opposing mineral, which is sodium. Too much sodium and not enough potassium can create a situation where the blood pressure is going to keep rising higher and higher.

How potassium can help with hypertension:
1. It acts as a diuretic
2. It dilates the smooth muscle in the arteries
3. It keeps the vascular system from being stiff

It may be beneficial to consume more foods high in potassium or take potassium as a supplement or in an electrolyte powder.

Another cause of hypertension is a vitamin D3 deficiency. You may want to get more vitamin D3 along with potassium

Potassium may also help reduce the risk of stroke because it directly affects the consistency of the blood. It reduces clotting.

Potassium may help reduce hypertension, as well as reduce the risk of stroke.
