Today I’m going to share a unique tip on the fastest way to get rid of knee pain. You can actually try this for any type of arthritis or stiffness, even in areas like your lower back, shoulders, or neck.

I believe the secret is really to eliminate omega-6 fatty acids from the diet and replace them with omega-3 fatty acids. You would really want to avoid any type of vegetable oils in your diet.

Omega-6 fatty acids are probably the most common reason people have inflammation. These fats are in so many foods like mayonnaise and even certain salad dressings.

Examples of vegetable oils you would want to avoid:
• Soy
• Corn
• Cottonseed
• Canola
• Safflower
• Sunflower

Better alternatives to cook with:
• Butter
• Olive oil
• Coconut oil

A few more foods high in omega-6 fatty acids:
• Nuts
• Seeds
• Peanut butter and nut butters
• Chicken (in high amounts)
• Tofu

Foods high in omega-3 fatty acids:
• Fatty fish (wild-caught)
• Shellfish
• Cod liver oil

2:04 Do this instead of #3
2:23 Need keto consulting?

In this video, we’re going to talk about six powerful ways you can trigger more ketones. If you’re on a ketogenic diet and you want to boost your ketosis, these are ways you can boost your ketones.

1. Fasting – the longer you fast, the more ketones you will produce. Intermittent fasting and prolonged fasting can help boost your ketones significantly.

2. Low carbs – lowering your carbs also lowers your insulin, which helps your body produce more ketones.

3. Prolonged intense exercise – when you burn up your stored sugar, you start to run more on ketones.

4. Alcoholism – damage to your liver will cause you to produce more ketones.

5. Uncontrolled type 1 diabetes – type 1 diabetes stops your body from producing insulin, which helps you produce more ketones.

6. MCT – medium-chain triglycerides can help speed up your ketone production.

Obviously, #4 and #5 are not the ways you should get your ketones. Avoid alcohol at all costs and make sure you talk with your doctor about controlling your type 1 diabetes.

Instead of doing #3 (prolonged intense exercise), do high-intensity interval training (HIIT). This is far more sustainable and healthy in the long-run. Avoid prolonged intense exercise if you have serious health issues.

1:07 Benefits of high-fat diets

Today we’re going to talk about the benefits of being on a high-fat diet. Initially, when you fast, you’re going to burn off your stored glycogen in your liver. When that’s gone, you’ll transition into burning your fat. But, this won’t happen unless you’re also on a low-carb diet. You never want to do both a high-carb and high-fat diet at the same time.

Benefits of a high-fat diet:
• You’ll stimulate more bile production and more bile release
• You’ll provide for the raw material of fat-soluble vitamins
• You’ll provide for the omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA)
• Short-chain fatty acids (butyrate)
• Medium-chain triglycerides (ketones)
• Dietary fat can help increase your ability to make ketones (a more efficient fuel)
• You’ll have the raw material for supplying necessary and essential compounds for your cell membranes, hormones, vitamin D, and bile

In this video, we’re going to talk about the number one cause of chronic fatigue in people over 50.

The most common cause of fatigue for people over 50 years of age is low stomach acidity.

The purpose of stomach acid is to break down proteins, absorb minerals, break down vitamins, and kill microbes.

Both types of anemia are related to low stomach acid.

Low levels of iron and B12—even subclinical—can cause low energy and fatigue. If you consume protein and cannot digest it, you are also going to get tired. This is why low stomach acidity is closely related to fatigue.

Signs of low stomach acid may include:
• Anemia
• Gerd
• Indigestion
• Bloating
• allergies
• SIBO
• Gallstones

As you get older, your stomach acidity—particularly hydrochloric acid (HCL)—goes down. Up to 40% of postmenopausal women have low stomach acidity.

There’s another condition called atrophic gastritis that is characterized by atrophy in certain parts of the stomach caused by low stomach acidity. This typically occurs if you’re over 60.

A large percentage of those with idiopathic anemia (unknown cause) also have significantly low stomach acidity.

Aside from age, causes of low stomach acid can include:
• Hypothyroidism
• Low sodium levels
• Low potassium levels
• Low iodine
• Low zinc
• Taking antacids

The best remedy for low stomach acidity is to take betaine hydrochloride.

Don’t use betaine hydrochloride if you have an ulcer—it can cause a burning sensation and other issues.

In this video, we’re going to talk about the importance of selenium for the thyroid. I wanted to really emphasize this point for those with thyroid problems.

If you’re supplementing iodine for your thyroid, don’t forget to take selenium. Selenium is just as important as iodine.

Selenium is vital to the enzymes that convert T4 into T3. This means that selenium is key to supporting normal and healthy thyroid function.

In fact, studies on animals show that giving iodine alone to deficient animals was found to cause irreversible thyroid gland fibrosis.

If you’re deficient in selenium and you’re using iodine, this could make things worse.

When selenium is given alone to iodine-deficient animals, it’s known to cause an aggravation of the iodine deficiency.

This suggests that you should always take iodine and selenium together.

Sea kelp is a fantastic natural source of selenium and iodine.

As a side note, selenium is vital to glutathione, which is an incredibly powerful antioxidant.

In this video, we’re going to talk about what causes a goiter.

A goiter is an enlarged thyroid gland. You have a gland in your brain called a pituitary that creates a hormone called thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH). This connects to the thyroid gland.

There are two purposes of TSH. First, it tells the thyroid to produce T4 and T3. Second, it causes the thyroid gland to increase in size.

If there’s too much TSH, this could be why your thyroid is enlarged.

90% of the time, a goiter is a result of an iodine deficiency. Also, keep in mind that goiters can be associated with both hypothyroidism and hyperthyroidism.

Many things can cause an iodine deficiency:
1. Exposure to bromide
2. Fluoride
3. Not enough iodine in the diet
4. Pregnancy
5. Smoking
6. Alcohol
7. Low selenium

When someone who has a goiter is tested, they may find that they have higher T3 levels. This is because the body is trying to compensate. They may also have lower T4 levels.

In this video, we’re going to talk about iron deficiency and anemia symptoms and causes.

Let’s start by taking a look at the symptoms of low iron and anemia. Take a look. Low iron symptoms include:
1. Fatigue
2. Paleness
3. Brittle nails
4. Grooved nails
5. Hair loss/hair thinning
6. Twitching
7. Irritation
8. PICA
9. Ice cravings
10. Restless legs syndrome

Now let’s look at the causes of low iron and anemia. Take a look. Low iron causes include:
1. Excessive menstruation
2. Ulcers
3. Hemorrhoids
4. Colon cancer
5. Diet/veganism
6, Antibiotics
7. Low stomach acidity
8. Malabsorption
9. Inflammation

Keep in mind that you would have to consume a tremendous amount of plants to get enough iron in your diet. The best sources of iron are seafood, red meat, poultry, eggs, and even insects.

When you are stick, your body locks up iron, so it isn’t used for the growth of pathogenic microbes.

Chronic inflammation can deprive your whole body of iron. The more chronic inflammation you have, the more anemia you can be.

Unfortunately, taking iron doesn’t fix this situation. Instead, you have to address the root cause of the inflammation. Fasting and vitamin D are the best ways to attack chronic inflammation.

Is this hidden reason for prostate enlargement affecting you?

0:25 Estrogen in men
1:14 Best remedies for prostate enlargement
2:18 Need keto consulting?

In this video, we’re going to talk about the hidden cause of prostate enlargement in men.

The reason some men experience prostate enlargement is too much estrogen in their bodies.

Typically, men have low amounts of estrogen in their bodies. There are two exceptions: before they are born (in utero) and when they reach old age.

The vast majority of estrogen a man has comes from testosterone. While the testes produce a small amount of estrogen (20%), the rest comes from testosterone using an enzyme called aromatase.

80% of the estrogen comes from other parts of the body, including the brain, skin, and bones.

Having a lot of estrogen in the body can increase your risk of prostate cancer.

So what is the solution?

There are four things you can do to support a healthy prostate and healthy hormone levels:
1. Lose weight (keto and intermittent fasting)
2. Maca root
3. Use stinging nettle root
4. Consume cruciferous vegetables

Maca root, stinging nettle root, and cruciferous vegetables are powerful aromatase inhibitors. This means it will inhibit the conversion from testosterone to estrogen.

2:55 Green tea and glutamine

Today we’re going to talk about green tea and its potential benefits concerning cancer protection. There are a lot of phytonutrients in green tea that have various benefits, but today we’re going to focus on cancer protection.

There is a specific phytonutrient in green tea that has a lot of benefits, such as:
• It’s anti-obesity
• It’s anti-lipids
• It’s chemoprotective
• It has antiproliferative properties
• It can help a person increase their own antioxidants
• It’s anti-cavity
• It helps support healthy blood sugar levels
• It’s antimicrobial

There are two different mechanisms of green tea that may help promote cancer protection:

1. It’s a FAS inhibitor (fatty acid synthase)
Cancer needs this enzyme (FAS) to make part of its structure. The phytonutrient in green tea can help inhibit cancer from getting this enzyme.

2. It’s a glutamine inhibitor
Glutamine is a type of fuel that cancer can live on. Glutamine is in many different kinds of foods. If you have cancer, cancer cells can potentially live on glutamine. The phytonutrient in green tea may inhibit glutamine as a potential fuel source for cancer.

In this video, I want to share how you could use topical iodine for skin tags, moles, and warts.

Some interesting data indicates that topical iodine could inactivate the papillomavirus, which could be behind warts and skin tags.

The type of iodine you may want to consider using is called povidone-iodine, which is an over the counter topical iodine. You could put a drop of the iodine on the skin tag and continue to do this for several days in a row. You may also want to put a little bandaid over it. You can do the same thing for a wart.

0:00 Black tea: The most powerful benefits
1:08 What is black tea?
1:30 Black tea and cancer

In this video, we’re going to talk about black tea. What are the most powerful benefits of black tea? Let’s take a look.

Black tea…
• Regulates glucose
• Lowers cholesterol
• Has antiviral properties
• Has antibacterial properties
• Helps prevent cavities
• Helps decrease the risk of osteoporosis
• Helps decrease the risk of metabolic syndrome
• Helps reduce gum disease
• Has anti-cancer properties
• Supports healthy blood pressure levels
• Lowers risk of cardiovascular disease
• Lowers risk of stroke

Now, it’s important to note that you won’t see these benefits on an unhealthy diet. They can’t make up for poor diet choices. However, if you are on a healthy keto diet, black tea can help support your body and promote these health benefits.

In my opinion, the biggest benefit of black tea has to do with its anti-cancer properties.

Black tea is an oxidized version of green tea. This gives you a new compound called theaflavin. This is a powerful phytonutrient that gives black tea a red tint.

FAS stands for fatty acid synthase. What does this mean? It’s an enzyme that helps you make lipids in your body. Cancer cells happen to need a lipid membrane to exist. The enzyme that makes this fatty acid is overexpressed in cancerous tissue.

Black tea helps inhibit this enzyme. In turn, this helps lower the risk of cancer.

Today, I want to cover what you need to know about using chromium picolinate for insulin resistance. Chromium is a trace mineral needed in tiny amounts.

Insulin resistance is a situation where the receptors for insulin are resisting insulin; this then tells the pancreas to make more insulin. So, now you have high levels of insulin, but the insulin is ineffective.

There are a lot of side effects of having high insulin, such as:
• Prediabetes
• Diabetes
• Belly fat
• Artery problems
• Eye problems
• Kidney problems
• Heart problems
• Brain problems
• And more

A few things chromium can do:
1. Increase glucose transporters
2. Decrease stress in endoplasmic reticulum
3. Inhibit inflammation and oxidative stress
4. Increase glutathione

Benefits of chromium picolinate:
1. It can decrease cravings
2. It can help get you into keto faster

Healthy Ketogenic Diet and Intermittent Fasting:

There are many things that can cause inflammation, but did you know that your own fat could be one of them?

Timestamps
0:00 Fat and inflammation
0:45 How fat keeps you inflamed
1:40 What you could do

Today we’re going to talk about how your own fat could actually keep you inflamed. The fat cell is not only storage for triglycerides, but it also makes hormones. For example, it makes leptin, which decreases your appetite.

A few more interesting things about the fat cell:
• It’s involved in immunity (it makes stem cells)
• It’s involved in appetite
• It’s involved with blood pressure
• It’s involved with insulin regulation
• It’s involved with TNF alpha (cytokine)

TNF alpha (cytokine) is a signaling molecule that triggers inflammation. Your fat cells, specifically your visceral fat, trigger TNF alpha, which keeps the body inflamed. That inflammation then causes insulin resistance, which causes more fat and starts the cycle over again.

What you could do:
1. Keep your carbs below 20g per day
2. Do intermittent fasting
3. Take vitamin D (about 30,000 IUs)
4. Take choline
5. Take bile salts
6. Exercise (45 minutes per day)

Did you know that testosterone replacement therapy can potentially increase your estrogen? The majority of estrogen in men comes from their own testosterone. Extra testosterone acts as a precursor for more estradiol, especially if you’re overweight. Your fat cells make an enzyme called aromatase, which causes testosterone to be converted to estrogen.

Symptoms of low testosterone:
• Thin hair
• Erectile dysfunction
• Decreased libido
• Decreased muscle mass
• High blood sugar
• Decreased body hair

Natural remedies to help increase testosterone
• Zinc
• Fenugreek

Can’t seem to lose weight after menopause? Here’s what you can do.

3:16 What to do for stubborn postmenopausal weight
4:17 Key takeaways
4:27 Need keto consulting?

In this video, we’re going to talk about the best way to lose weight if you’re postmenopausal.

I’ve done many other videos on this topic where I cover five things:
1. Lower your carbs to less than 10 grams
2. Fast (one meal a day)
3. Add exercise (and long walks)
4. Get plenty of quality sleep
5. Avoid alcohol

What if you’re already doing all of these things, and you still can’t seem to lose enough weight?

First, let’s talk about the pituitary. The pituitary gland produces many different hormones. One hormone is called FSH—its purpose is to tell the ovaries to make estrogen.

However, after menopause, your ovaries no longer create estrogen. This means that FSH levels stay high because the ovaries do not send feedback to lower FSH.

FSH also happens to make fat. This is a big problem because it can make weight loss very difficult.

After menopause, your cortisol levels increase. This may also contribute to difficulty losing weight.

There are a couple of things you can do to prevent these issues:
1. Take Myo-inositol
2. Take royal jelly

Celery Juice vs. Sodium Nitrates in Hot Dogs

Is it healthy to consume hot dogs that use celery juice instead of nitrates? Find out.

In this video, we’re going to talk about celery juice vs. sodium nitrates in hot dogs. Is it okay to consume hot dogs that use celery juice instead of nitrates?

First, let’s talk about why manufacturers put celery juice in hot dogs and other processed meats. Celery juice is one way to provide nitrates. Nitrates act as a curative agent—they preserve the meat.

The USDA does not recognize celery juice as a curative agent, so they list it as an antimicrobial.

So, is this natural source of nitrates actually healthier to consume than synthetic forms?

Studies show that sodium nitrate found in processed hot dogs and deli meats can contribute to cancer. However, no research shows that celery juice will do the same thing.

Until I read a study that says that it has the same effects, I won’t know if it’s safe or not.

However, I will say that non-organic celery is sprayed with insecticides, pesticides, and herbicides. When you buy organic meats with celery juice, the juice is often not organic.

So the non-organic celery juice actually contaminates the organic grass-fed meat products to some degree.

Overall, try your best to always go organic and grass-fed if you’re going to have a hot dog. Also, try to avoid all nitrates, if possible.

You should do a healthy ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting to offset the effects of any foods with possible carcinogens.

Today I want to share with you the number one cause for hypertension. Hypertension is classified into two different categories.

1. Primary or essential hypertension:
About 95% of hypertension cases have an unknown cause. It could be related to a person’s lifestyle, but there is also data that points to having too much insulin (hyperinsulinemia) as being behind this issue. With too much insulin, a person will also have insulin resistance.

2. Secondary hypertension:
Typically comes from kidney disease, a tumor, etc.

High insulin could potentially cause hypertension because high insulin stimulates the autonomic nervous system (primarily the sympathetic nervous system). This situation could raise a person’s blood pressure and also cause the arteries to become very stiff. This could lead to hypertension.

A few causes of hypertension
*1. Hyperinsulinemia
2. Low potassium
3. Low vitamin D
4. Low magnesium
5. Low vitamin K2

Healthy keto and intermittent fasting could potentially help a person with hyperinsulinemia and also help support a healthy lifestyle. Intermittent fasting may have a greater impact on lowering insulin, but the combination of healthy keto and intermittent fasting seems to work best.

In this video, we’re going to talk about a vitamin B1 deficiency after antibiotics.

Several antibiotics are capable of creating a B1 deficiency. These include:
• Cipro
• Factive
• Levaquin
• Avelox
• Floxin
• Baxdela
• And 60 other generic versions

Why do antibiotics cause vitamin B1 deficiency? Well, you get a portion of vitamin B1 from your diet, but you also get a large amount from your gut microbes. Antibiotics kill off health gut microbes, which means you have fewer to create vitamin B1.

Symptoms of a B1 deficiency may include:
• ADD
• Anxiety
• Agitation
• Nervousness
• Lack of memory
• Hypoglycemic coma
• Tendinitis
• Tendon rupture
• Risk of C. Diff
• Irreversible peripheral neuropathy

Vitamin B1 deals with amino acid metabolism. If you can’t transport amino acids, like collagen, you can have issues with your tendons, muscles, joints, and nerves.

If you’re in a situation where you have to take antibiotics, it’s a good idea to take probiotics and nutritional yeast to support healthy B vitamin levels.
