Today we’re going to talk about steroid drugs. To be more specific, we’re talking about corticosteroids. This is different than androgens and testosterone. This drug is mainly used for anything connected with inflammation.

The two main effects steroids have on the body:
1. Suppression of the entire immune system
• Your immune system is your army to fight off pathogens. Suppressing your entire immune system could be dangerous.

2. Suppression of inflammation
• Suppressing inflammation can be dangerous, especially for the healing process.

Taking steroids can increase your risk of having a cold turn into a severe pneumonia infection. Steroids may also increase the risk of getting TB. 25% of the population has a latent TB infection. This means the infection is inactive in the person’s body, but steroids can potentially turn the infection into an active form.

I believe steroids are a double-edged sword and should only be taken short-term and infrequently. When you stop taking steroids after chronic use, your adrenals have basically shut down, potentially leaving you with withdrawal symptoms.

Withdrawal symptoms can include:
• Osteoporosis
• Ulcers
• Severe infection
• Weight gain
• Diabetes
• Cataracts
• Skin problems

Alternatives to steroids:
1. Curcumin (200g)
2. Boswellia
3. Green tea
4. Vitamin D
5. Fasting

Today we’re going to talk about bentonite clay and aluminum. There is aluminum in bentonite clay, but bentonite clay has been promoted as a great thing to take to help detoxify the body. So, can it cause aluminum toxicity or not?

Bentonite clay is dissolved minerals from volcanic ash and marine environments. It’s layers of very thin sheets of minerals. There are many different minerals, but the main two are a combination of silica and aluminum.

Even though there is aluminum in bentonite clay, it is tightly bound with silica, and they’re not going to leech out into your body. So, you don’t have to worry about getting aluminum poisoning when you take bentonite clay.

The unique thing about bentonite clay over other types of clay is that it has eight times the pull factor or magnetic force to absorb and attract heavy metals, toxins, and other things. It has a very strong negative charge that acts as a magnet for certain things.

Bentonite clay could attach to things like:
• Arsenic
• Lead
• Mercury
• Toxins
• Mold
• Aflatoxins

Bentonite clay could also help decrease bacterial loads, which can be beneficial if someone has an infection. It can be good for people who have IBS. It may also be beneficial for burns or to help with poison ivy.

Find out when the best time is to take vitamin D, especially for better sleep.

0:24 When is the best time to take vitamin D?
0:45 When to take vitamin D for sleep
2:00 Other great vitamins for sleep problems
2:30 Share your success story!

Let’s talk about the best time to take vitamin D. Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin. This means that you’re going to have better absorption (30-50% better) if you take vitamin D with fat.

Some vitamin D supplements contain fat within the supplement itself. But, if you’re going to take vitamin D as a supplement that doesn’t already contain fat, you may want to take it with a meal that contains fat.

Great sources of fat to have with your vitamin D supplement:
• MCT oil
• Olive oil
• Avocado
• Nuts
• Dairy
• Eggs
• Meat that has saturated fat

If you have a sleep problem, you may want to try taking your vitamin D before bed. Vitamin D may help increase your non-REM sleep. This is the deep delta wave sleep that occurs in the first half of sleep. Vitamin D may also help reduce your cortisol (stress) levels.

Most people will sleep fine, if not better when they take vitamin D before bed. However, a small percentage of people may find that taking vitamin D before bed wakes them up. These people may need to take vitamin D earlier in the day.

Other great vitamins for sleep problems:
• Vitamin B5
• Folate
• Vitamin B1 (especially if you can’t turn your brain off at night)

Long, medium-intensity workouts or short, high-intensity workouts—which is better? Find out!

0:10 The four exercise variables
0:55 Benefits of high-intensity exercise
3:45 Share your success story!

In this video, we’re going to talk about why exercise intensity is important.

Let’s take a look at the “anatomy” of exercise. What makes exercise effective for supporting your health?

There are four variables to look at:
1. Duration
2. Intensity
3. Recovery
4. Frequency

Our focus today will be on the intensity of exercise.

High-intensity workouts have many benefits. Take a look:

1. Produces a greater increase in aerobic capacity, which boosts the amount of oxygen delivered to the muscles, promotes exercise recovery, and improves stamina.

2. Greater reduction in risk of cardiovascular disease and premature death.

3. Significant improvement in insulin sensitivity.

4. Significant increase in growth hormone, which promotes fat-burning, immune function, calcium retention, and thyroid hormone conversion.

Overall, research suggests that short bursts of high-intensity exercise, like HIIT, are better for a healthy body than prolonged workouts, like running a marathon.

HIIT is a great addition to the Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting plan.

In this video, we’re going to talk about why abdominal exercises won’t shrink your belly.

If you go to the gym, you might notice people doing many forms of abdominal exercise. While this may strengthen your core, it won’t shrink your belly.

Studies show that there is no significant effect on weight, body fat percentage, abdominal circumference, abdominal skin fold, or abdominal subcutaneous fat when exercising your abdominal muscles. Abdominal exercise only affects your endurance.

What about your belly?

You have subcutaneous fat under your skin, and you have fat on your liver. The first thing that happens when you gain weight is your liver fills up with fat. From there, the fat spills out around your other organs.

The three types of fat are:
• Subcutaneous (just beneath the skin)
• Visceral (deeper fat around your organs)
• Liver fat

All of this fat comes from the same thing: insulin.

High levels of insulin cause your body to store fat and prevent your body from burning fat.

High insulin is caused by carbohydrate consumption.

If you’re new to my channel, check out my other videos on how to get rid of belly fat.

There are three important things you need to do to lose belly fat:
1. Lower your carbs (Healthy Keto)
2. Intermittent fasting
3. HIIT (high-intensity interval training)

Keto and intermittent fasting will provide 85% of the results. The other 15% of results will come from exercise.

1:08 Natural remedies for leg and foot cramps at night
2:05 Share your success story!

Let’s talk about foot and leg cramps at night, also known as nocturnal cramps. Nocturnal cramps can be very painful and even prevent you from sleeping.

Unfortunately, the cause of nocturnal cramps is unknown. But, a potential cause could be an electrolyte imbalance—a deficiency in electrolytes, such as magnesium, calcium, potassium, or sodium. But, sometimes, people will take electrolytes without noticing much of a difference.

Another potential cause could be a problem with your pH. If your body is too alkaline, you won’t be able to transport minerals properly. This can create a lot of different problems, including cramping. In this case, you could try just acidifying the body.

Potential remedies for leg and foot cramps at night:
1. Quinine (the natural version: cinchona officinalis, or tonic water)

2. Yellow mustard (1 tbsp. before bed)

3. Apple cider vinegar (2 tbsp. mixed in water about an hour before bed)

Could the use of aged garlic for high blood pressure work just as well as some medications? Check this out.

2:23 Share your success story!

Let’s talk about aged garlic for high blood pressure. In a study involving 210 people over 24 weeks, aged garlic was shown to be just as effective as Atenolol for hypertension.

Aged garlic has fewer side effects and may be just as effective as Atenolol for hypertension. Always check with your doctor before coming off of any medications or trying any natural remedies.

Potential side effects of Atenolol:
• Blurred vision
• Cold hands
• Confusion
• Difficulty breathing
• Dizziness
• Excessive sweating
• Tightness in chest
• Fatigue
• Wheezing

Aged garlic seems to be effective because of an active ingredient called allicin. Allicin has many interesting effects, including anti-cancer effects and anti-hypertensive effects.

Potential benefits of allicin in aged garlic for hypertension:
• It can decrease angiotensin 2 (helps relax blood vessels and reduce hypertension)
• It can increase nitric oxide (helps reduce hypertension)
• It can decrease inflammation (helps lower blood pressure)
• It can thin the blood (reducing the risk of clotting)

When it comes to aged garlic vs. fresh garlic, aged garlic may work better than fresh garlic for high blood pressure. But, if you want to try fresh garlic, be sure to crush it and wait at least 15 minutes before consuming it to release more of the allicin compound. However, aged garlic has higher amounts of allicin, phytonutrients, and antioxidants than fresh garlic.

Aged garlic was found to inhibit advanced glycation end products by 56.4%. Fresh garlic was found to inhibit advanced glycation end products by 33.5%. Advanced glycation end products are involved in a lot of chronic health problems.

An interesting study was done on 500 patients with the flu that compared echinacea and the drug Tamiflu. Tamiflu is mainly given to people with the flu or to someone who has been exposed to the flu but hasn’t shown symptoms yet.

The study found that echinacea had the same efficacy as Tamiflu in decreasing flu symptoms, with reduced risk of complications. Always check with your doctor before you try any natural remedy.

Side effects of Tamiflu:
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Dizziness
• Headaches
• Nose bleeds
• Insomnia
• Respiratory problems
• The flu

Potential benefits of echinacea:
• It has antiviral effects
• It may improve cold symptoms (sneezing and sinus pressure)
• It has anti-inflammatory effects (especially when using the roots)
• It has anti-migraine effects
• It may enhance the immune system (increases monocytes and stimulates neutrophils and natural killer cells)

Today we’re going to talk about rosacea. This is where your cheeks are red, and you have small capillary breaks. The cause of rosacea is unknown.

The normal treatment for rosacea that seems to be effective is an antibiotic that’s also antiparasitic. Given this information, this condition could potentially be caused by a parasite or bacteria. Ivermectin also seems to help people. Ivermectin is antiparasitic and anti-inflammatory. It’s also anti-lice and anti-scabies.

Rosacea is seen in Cushing’s disease, where the person has a high level of cortisol. Cortisol is anti-inflammatory, but if you have high cortisol, you could develop cortisol resistance. This means that you’re not going to get those anti-inflammatory effects. It’s also possible to have steroid-induced rosacea. This could mean that cortisol resistance, which creates a cortisol deficiency, sets a person up for this condition.

A few things that may trigger rosacea:
• Extreme temperatures
• Strenuous exercise
• Heat or sun
• Sunburn
• Stress
• Cold winds

It seems that this condition could be induced by a combination of adrenal dysfunction, a parasite or some microorganism, and maybe an imbalance in the gut. People with SIBO also have a high risk for rosacea.

Potential remedies for rosacea:
• Neem oil mixed in coconut oil applied to the skin
• Wormwood extract (use orally)
• Clove (use orally)
• Fasting
• Support the adrenals

Timestamps

1:03 Diseases caused by stress
4:10 Causes of a vitamin D deficiency
4:35 Share your success story!

Today we’re going to talk about the interesting relationship between cortisol (stress) and vitamin D. Is it vitamin D that causes low cortisol, or is it the cortisol (either too high or too low) that causes a vitamin D deficiency?

Vitamin D is required for adrenal hormone production. Not just cortisol, but other adrenal hormones as well. If a person is deficient in vitamin D, then they could also be deficient in certain adrenal hormones. This could set them up for all sorts of problems.

Potential health problems caused by stress:
• Ulcers
• Diabetes
• Increased risk of cancer
• Autoimmune diseases
• Heart conditions
• Infections
• Insomnia
• Sleep apnea
• Anxiety or depression
• Weight gain

Both vitamin D and cortisol are anti-inflammatories. High cortisol (Cushing’s syndrome) and low cortisol (Addison’s disease) are both related to a vitamin D deficiency.

Cortisol normally suppresses the white blood cells, and vitamin D modulates the immune system—it helps control it. Both vitamin D and cortisol can also potentially help prevent autoimmune diseases.

Another thing to note is that the raw material to make vitamin D and cortisol comes from the same thing: cholesterol.

If a person has any condition that involves cortisol, they may want to take vitamin D to potentially help normalize their cortisol.

Causes of a vitamin D deficiency:
• Lack of vitamin D in the diet
• Lack of sun
• Age
• Skin color
• Obesity
• Metabolic syndrome
• Inflammation
• Infection
• Malabsorption
• Polymorphism
• Stress

The more stress you go through, the more you could be deficient in vitamin D. Overall, in my opinion, stress can cause a vitamin D deficiency, and a vitamin D deficiency can make you more stressed, causing a cortisol problem.

This powerful enzyme protects your mitochondria and increases your energy. Learn how to boost it!

Timestamps
0:00 Introduction: What is AMPK?
2:50 How to boost AMPK
4:44 Share your success story!

In this video, we’re going to talk about a powerful mitochondrial protector called AMPK.

AMPK stands for 5’adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase.

AMPK is known as the guardian of your metabolism. It’s the central regulator of energy homeostasis.

Homeostasis is your body’s ability to adapt to the external environment.

For example, if you’re running up a flight of stairs, your pulse rate will increase to adjust for the need for oxygen in your brain, so you don’t pass out.

AMPK is an enzyme that adapts to things that deplete your cellular energy.

This enzyme senses a drop in energy (ATP) and adapts the mitochondria, helping it work efficiently to increase the chance of survival.

It does this by increasing ATP production (the body’s energy currency) and lowering ATP consumption.

Autophagy is another important part of this process. Autophagy is when your body recycles old and worn-out cell parts and turns them into new cells.

AMPK triggers autophagy, mitophagy (recycling of mitochondria), and xenophagy (the removal of intracellular pathogens).

AMPK also happens to suppress tumors, fight against cancer cells, reduce the risk of diabetes, and help protect against a fatty liver.

How to boost AMPK:
• Low-carb diet
• Hypoxia
• Exercise
• Fasting
• Metformin (not a recommendation)
• Polyphenols
• Resveratrol (red grapes)
• Green tea
• Berberine
• Curcumin
• Ginseng
• Alpha-lipoic acid

2:11 Share your success story!

In this video, we’re going to talk about the benefits of hawthorn berry.

Hawthorn berry is commonly used for angina and irregular heartbeats. This is great for those who have experienced past heart issues—especially if you’re flying on a plane.

Hawthorn extract has been used for a variety of circulatory disorders and respiratory illnesses.

It may help with:
• Irregular heartbeats
• Hypertension
• Chest pain
• Hardening of the arteries
• Heart failure

Studies show that hawthorn berry can potentially help improve heart function and increase your ability to exercise after heart failure. It was found to be as effective as the medication Captopril for some symptoms. It has also been shown to improve shortness of breath and fatigue.

Hawthorn berry contains certain phytonutrients that help dilate the blood vessels, increasing the blood flow and protecting the inside of blood vessels from oxidation and free radicle damage.

The compounds in hawthorn berry that benefit the heart are:

Let’s talk about 4 interesting natural remedies for an organ transplant. Just be sure to check with your doctor before applying any of this information. I’m not telling you to come off of your medication or replace your medication with these natural remedies. These are a few natural things that you could talk to your doctor about applying along with your medication.

If you have an organ transplant, your own immune system will try to reject it. So, there is a huge inflammatory situation. Because of this, your doctor will put you on drugs to suppress the immune system. These drugs do have side effects that can include increasing your risk of infection and an upset stomach.

Potential remedies for organ transplant:
1. Red sage
May be good for:
• COPD
• Cardiovascular disease
• Stroke
• Increasing circulation
• Unique immunomodulation

2. Thunder duke vine (thunder god vine)
May be good for:
• Kidney transplant
• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Psoriasis

3. Vitamin D (20,000-30,000 IUs)
• Vitamin D is a very potent anti-inflammatory

4. Bile salts (4 per day on an empty stomach)
May be good for:
• Increasing the absorption of vitamin D
• Reducing inflammation

What does science say about HIIT vs. cardio for your heart? Find out.

Let’s talk about HIIT vs. cardio for your heart. HIIT (high-intensity interval training) may actually be better than a cardio workout for your heart.

In a heartbeat, you have a contraction and relaxation—it operates on a rhythm. HIIT mimics more of a rhythmic type exercise than some type of moderate sustained type exercise. Moderate sustained exercise may be harder on the heart.

Short-duration, high-intensity exercise with a good amount of rest may be very therapeutic for the heart. According to one study, HIIT exercise showed a significant increase in cardiovascular and respiratory health.

A few types of HIIT exercises:
• Spin bike
• Slamball
• Plyometrics like jump training
• Sprinting (if you have good joints)

High-intensity interval training can help increase something called VO2 max, which is the amount of oxygen that feeds the muscles. It can also help increase growth hormone and testosterone.

With HIIT, you want high-intensity, short duration, and a good amount of recovery. You want to create short-term stress as well as less cortisol and improve recovery and the parasympathetic nervous system.

I would suggest doing a 20 second or less intense workout and then rest for about 2-4 minutes. Then repeat for about 3-7 sets. I would also suggest adding this workout to what you’re already doing. I think you could see some really amazing changes, not just with your heart, but with your whole body.
