1:18 More dangers of vaping
Is vaping actually better than smoking? In this video, we’re going to talk about the harmful effects of vaping.
480,000 people die each year from an issue related to smoking. How many years did it take to recognize that smoking kills people? It took 50 years. Vaping has only been around since 2003, and there are no long-term studies on it.
With vaping, you’re actually inhaling an aerosol, which is a certain gas. It’s a vaporized mist of propylene glycol and glycerin. Some of the pods that are used for vaping actually contain more nicotine than a pack of cigarettes. If a person starts to experiment with nicotine before the age of 20, the risk of addiction (to more than just smoking) goes way up. You’re also vaping from a device that has the capacity to explode.
With flavored vaping, the chemicals are cytotoxic to your lungs. There are heavy metals, and it has the ability to impair DNA. It can also cause oxidation to the inside lining of your arteries.

The Difference Between the Colon and Intestines
Do you know the difference between the small and large intestines? Find out.

0:06 The small intestine
2:51 The large intestine
In this video, we’re going to talk about the unique difference between the small intestine and the large intestines.
The small intestine:
The small intestine is a lot longer. There are three parts:
• The first part is 10-15 inches
• The second part is about 8 ft.
• The last part is 8-13 ft.
90% of all the digestion occurs in the small intestine. You have enzymes that are generated from the pancreas and the small intestine that help break down proteins, carbohydrates, and fat.
In the first part of the small intestine, you have the contents of the stomach and some of the juices from the pancreas coming out to help neutralize the acid from the stomach. You also have the absorption of iron happening here.
The next part of the small intestine is where you will absorb certain vitamins and nutrients.
In the last part of the small intestine, you will absorb and recycle bile salts. You’re also going to absorb vitamin B12, fat, fat-soluble vitamins, and certain electrolytes.
The small intestine is alkaline, which triggers certain enzymes.
When the microbes from the large intestine back up and get into the small intestine, that’s called SIBO. SIBO can cause nutritional deficiencies and a lot of bloating.
The large intestine:
The large intestine is a bit smaller at around 5 ft.
This is where fiber starts to ferment.
You’re also going to absorb water, fluids, certain electrolytes, salts, and potassium.
There are a lot more bacteria in the large intestine than in the small intestine.
The pH of the colon is going to be more acidic to help kill pathogens that should not be there. But, it doesn’t affect good bacteria.
When the fiber is fermented, it’s going to turn into small chain fatty acids, such as butyrate. Butyrate is actually the preferred fuel for the colon cells. Butyrate also helps stabilize your blood sugars, increase energy, and helps improve insulin resistance.

1:11 Why vitamin D isn’t working—The second situation
2:38 A few more remedies for vitamin D absorption
There are cases where people take vitamin D and don’t see results. So what do you do when vitamin D doesn’t work?
Why vitamin D isn’t working:
1. You have damage in your digestive system
If your gut isn’t allowing you to absorb vitamin D because of damage, what do you do?
• Take gut-friendly vitamin D such as sublingual, topical, and injected versions
• Get vitamin D from the sun
2. A problem with the vitamin D receptor
If you have a problem with this receptor, vitamin D won’t connect 100%. 30% of the population has a problem with the vitamin D receptor. 40% of obese people have a problem with the vitamin D receptor. There is a simple test you can take to see if you have this problem.
What do you do in this situation?
• Take more vitamin D (40,000-60,000 IUs)
• For every 10,000 IUs of vitamin D, take 100 micrograms of vitamin K2
A few more remedies to enhance vitamin D absorption:
• Omega-3
• Zinc
• Boron
• Magnesium
• Intense exercise

If you feel like you can’t live without carbs, this video is for you.
Can’t live without bread? Did you know this:
• The average American consumes 53 pounds (26 kg) of bread per year.
• The glycemic index of bread is 71 – 81.
• Low-fat bread has too many carbs that turn into fat and then spikes insulin, which blocks the ability to burn the fat.
• A lot of white bread has bleach (chlorine dioxide) in it, which may lead to type 1 diabetes.
• Transglutaminase is an enzyme that can worsen the sensitivity to gluten.
• When you consume whole grains, you’re getting bran, which is loaded with phytic acid that blocks zinc.
• The more bread you consume, the more you’re deleted of B-vitamins, vitamin E, and zinc. Vitamin B1 and vitamin E are essential for the heart.
Keto-friendly alternatives to bread:
1. Oopsie bread (cloud bread)
2. You can make bread out of almond flour, cauliflower, chia seed, flaxseed, coconut flour, and zucchini
3. My keto-friendly bread recipe
If you’re craving bread, you’re usually deficient in vitamin B1. Taking nutritional yeast can help reduce these cravings. Healthy keto and intermittent fasting can also help make your hunger go down, making it easier to avoid bread.

0:44 Running your body on glucose
1:05 Ketones and cardiovascular disease
1:20 More benefits of fasting for the cardiovascular system
1:56 Fasting and the liver
2:40 Glucose damage
In this video, we’re going to talk about intermittent fasting and how fasting affects the heart.
It all starts with lowering insulin. When you fast, you lower insulin. Insulin controls what type of fuel your body is going to run on.
Fatty acids from fat cells are the main source of fuel to the heart. Your heart actually prefers a type of ketone called acetoacetate.
Fasting switches your body from glucose to ketones. But, when you eat, you go from ketosis to glucose. Ketones also have the ability to feed the heart if the heart is in a damaged state. So, if you have any type of cardiovascular disease, you may benefit from intermittent fasting and providing your body with ketones through a low-carb diet.
More benefits of intermittent fasting for the heart:
• Improvement with atherosclerosis
• Less stiffness in the arteries
• Lower blood pressure
• Improved insulin resistance which will improve your ability to absorb electrolytes
