3:28 Summary

In this video, I want to cover the drugs that deplete vitamin D.

Drugs that deplete vitamin D:

1. Corticosteroids
These are typically used as an anti-inflammatory. But, vitamin D is actually one of the best anti-inflammatories.

2. Antibiotics
Certain antibiotics block your absorption of vitamin D. Without vitamin D you could end up with leaky gut, increasing the chances of autoimmune diseases, allergies, and more.

3. SSRIs
Antidepressants could block vitamin D. But, vitamin D could have therapeutic benefits for depression.

4. Phenobarbital
This is used as an anti-anxiety medication and is also used for seizures. Vitamin D could help reduce stress and anxiety and could even reduce the risk of seizures.

5. Dilantin
Dilantin is used for seizures, but it blocks vitamin D.

6. Cholestyramine
This is a medication that blocks bile and cholesterol. But, cholesterol is needed to make vitamin D.

7. Ulcer medications
A big cause of ulcers is the microbe H.pylori. There is some research that shows that vitamin D could help eradicate H.pylori.

2:38 Symptoms of a vitamin B1 deficiencyΒ
2:57 The best source of vitamin B1Β

Today I want to share with you the best vitamin for emotional instability. There are other causes of emotional instability that have nothing to do with nutrition as well. But, I want to talk about the nutrient connection to your emotions. I believe the best vitamin for emotional instability may be vitamin B1.Β

If you’re deficient in vitamin B1, you could experience emotional instability and delirium. Delirium is mental confusion and emotional disruption. Delirium can also often occur when an alcoholic or drug addict is going through withdrawal symptoms.Β

There are certain specific parts of the brain that require B1:
β€’ The hippocampusΒ
β€’ The Amygdala
β€’ The mammillary bodies

The RDAs for vitamin B1 is only 2mg. Vitamin B1 is water-soluble, so you don’t store a lot of it. You’re body only needs a small amount of it, but it needs it consistently. You will need more vitamin B1 if you consume carbs. The more carbohydrates or sugar you consume, the more vitamin B1 you’ll need.

Things that can deplete vitamin B1:
β€’ GlucoseΒ
β€’ Stress
β€’ ChlorineΒ
β€’ Refined foods

Other vitamin B1 deficiency symptoms:
1. IrritabilityΒ
2. DepressionΒ
3. AnxietyΒ
4. Confusion
5. Memory loss
6. Lack of initiativeΒ
7. Poor learningΒ
8. Poor concentrationΒ

The best source of vitamin B1 is nutritional yeast. If you’re going to buy a vitamin B1 supplement, a natural version over a synthetic version may be the best way to go. But, unfortified or unenriched nutritional yeast should have enough vitamin B1.Β

In this video, we’re going to talk about a topic that comes up often. It has to do with what puts you into ketosis. Many people think it takes consuming more fat to put your body into the state of ketosis.

The truth is, you don’t necessarily need to consume more fat. Instead, you need to lower your carbohydrates. Carbs affect insulin, and insulin blocks ketosis. The key is to lower your carbs.

Ketosis is also not a high-protein diet. You want to consume only a moderate amount of protein. 3-8 oz of protein is fine. You also don’t want to consume lean proteinβ€”low-fat protein can exacerbate insulin spikes. Always consume full-fat foods.

Why do you need dietary fat on ketosis?
1. Fat helps you fast longer (lowers hunger and cravings)
2. Fat supplies you with nutrients (essential fats and fat-soluble vitamins)
3. Fat stimulates bile
4. Fat triggers healthy hormones
5. Fat supplies your body with healthy tissue
6. Fat slows the absorption of protein
7. Fat helps you maintain your weight

In this video, I’m going to share with you a little bit about the berry that has the strongest anti-cancer effect. It’s the bilberry. Out of 10 berries tested, bilberry was rated #1 in its anti-cancer effects.

Bilberry may inhibit human leukemia cells. It also could inhibit the human colon carcinoma cell in vitro.

The bilberry has some of the largest amounts of a phytonutrient called anthocyanin, which is a plant-based compound that has one of the greatest free radical scavenging activities.

There are certain antioxidant properties in this berry. Antioxidants are a protective factor against oxidation. There have been interesting studies on using bilberry for chronic inflammatory conditions. The phytonutrients from this berry can decrease the collateral damage that occurs from these chronic health conditions.

What Happens When You Fast and When You Eat?

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

How does your body function when you eat vs. when you fast? Watch to find out.

2:23 This is what happens when you fast

4:38 Keto recipe channel promo

In this video, we’re going to talk about what happens when you eat vs. when you fast.

– When you eat –
When you eat, you have glucose, amino acids, and fatty acids in your blood. In turn, this increases insulin. The first thing that happens is these nutrients supply the cell with energy. The extra energy turns into glycogen. Glycogen is the storage of glucose molecules.

To store glucose, you need potassium. When you store glucose, you also store water. For every one molecule of glycogen, you have 3.8 water molecules.

If you are trying to lose weight and you’re consuming carbs, keep in mind that it’s not just the glycogen that’s adding to your weightβ€”it’s also all of the water that you retain inside your glycogen units.

You have about 100 grams of glycogen in your liver and 500 grams of glycogen in your muscle tissue. Any extra glycogen is turned into fat.

As you put on fat, you also develop insulin resistance.

– When you fast –
When you fast, this whole process works in reverseβ€”your glucose level decreases, which causes a decrease in insulin. The body starts to use the excess glucose in the blood. Next, you start to use the glycogen reserves in your liver.

After 6-12 hours, your liver glycogen is depleted. Next, your body starts to convert stored fat into ketones. It takes 12-72 hours to go into ketosis.

After this, your body goes through autophagy. Autophagy is an efficient system that helps clean up old and damaged proteins as well as microbes.

Autophagy is very therapeuticβ€”it helps regrow brain tissue, repair heart tissue, and strengthen your immune system.

The medical profession doesn’t recognize adrenal fatigue as an actual condition. But, this doesn’t make sense. If a person has too much adrenal function, this is called Cushing’s disease, and if you don’t have enough adrenal hormones, this is called Addison’s disease. So, why couldn’t someone develop wear and tear, breakdown, or fatigue of the adrenal glands?Β

The two big symptoms of adrenal fatigue are:
1. Chronic fatigueΒ
2. Chronic inflammationΒ

The most important thing you can do for adrenal fatigue is to get more sleep. Sleep helps improve stress. It’s not always just about the diet. In this situation, it’s about recovering and restoring sleep.Β

A few main causes of poor sleep:
β€’ Pain and inflammation (take vitamin D)Β
β€’ Nightmares (take nutritional yeast)Β
β€’ EMFΒ
β€’ A high pulse rate or high blood pressure (take potassium, magnesium, and vitamin D)
β€’ Heart arrhythmias (Take potassium, magnesium, berberine, quinine, and forskolin)Β

A few more things that may help:
β€’ Long walks
β€’ Lower your carbohydratesΒ

The First Sign of Low Vitamin D is…

3:17 Keto recipe channel promo

In this video, I’m going to talk about the first sign of low vitamin D.

The first sign many people experience when they’re low on vitamin D is a low backache. This is very important to look out for. If you notice low back pain that won’t go away with any treatment, look at your vitamin D level.

How does low vitamin D cause low back pain? Well, vitamin D is vital for your immune system, blood pressure level, sleep, mood, and inflammation level.

Vitamin D acts as a powerful anti-inflammatory that also helps you get rid of pain.

If you notice achenes in your lower back at night, this could be related to vitamin D.

Try squatting down and then getting back up from a squatting position. Rate your difficulty. Next, take 40,000 IUs of vitamin D and wait an hour. Then, try squatting and getting back up again and rate your difficulty. If vitamin D is your problem, you should see a significant improvement.

If you are very deficient in vitamin D, you should see those results fairly quickly. However, sometimes it can take a day or two to really see the results. Try again after a day and rate your difficulty again.

This pain can spread to your pelvis, hips, upper legs, and upper arms as well. Low vitamin D can also cause bone pain in your ribsβ€”especially if you lightly press on your breast bone.

Vitamin D can affect your muscle tone, as well. If you waddle back and forth, this could be a sign of low vitamin D.

You can find vitamin D in cod liver oil, fatty fish, eggs, and dairy. However, it’s almost impossible to get enough vitamin D from dietary sources. The best source of vitamin D is to get out in the sun. If you can’t get enough sunlight, take a vitamin D3 supplement with vitamin K2.

Calories vs. Appetite on Keto and Intermittent Fasting

KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

Let me clear up some confusion about calories vs. appetite on keto and intermittent fasting.Β

3:58 A few ways to know if you need more nutrientsΒ
4:22 A big benefit of keto and intermittent fastingΒ
4:48 How to know if you’re doing it correctlyΒ

There has been a lot of confusion for keto and intermittent fasting beginners concerning calories, as well as the concept of not eating unless you’re hungry.Β

The mainstream recommendation for calories per day is:Β
Female β€” 2000Β
Male β€” 2500Β

But, of course, the mainstream recommendation doesn’t take into account that you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting. When you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting, you’re switching your fuel source to your own fat calories. So, it’s not just about the dietary calories you’re consuming. It’s also about including the calories that are on your body as stored fat.Β

There are other factors to consider, as well, such as:
β€’ Age
β€’ Metabolism
β€’ Stress
β€’ ActivityΒ

In the past, I’ve said to not eat unless you’re hungry. But, I want to add a few things to clarify this. If you don’t have energy, your mood is off (you have anxiety, depression, or grouchiness), or you don’t have much strength, you may be missing fuel or nutrients.Β

When you eat, it’s important to make sure you’re consuming nutrient-dense foods. After you eat, you’re going to be fasting, and you need to make sure you have enough nutrients to run your body on.Β

When you’re fasting, you’re going through autophagy, which is a process where you’re body is becoming very efficient. Autophagy also slows down the need for nutrients.Β Β

A few ways to know if you need more nutrients:
β€’ You’re losing hair (you may need more B vitamins or trace minerals)Β
β€’ You’re losing muscle mass (you may need more amino acids)Β

How to know if you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting correctly? Pay attention to you’re:
β€’ AppetiteΒ
β€’ Energy
β€’ Mood
β€’ StrengthΒ

Find out what the best vitamin for sciatica is!

1:00 Symptoms of a vitamin B2 deficiency
1:45 Causes of a vitamin B2 deficiency
2:18 Foods high in vitamin B2

Today I’m going to share with you the best vitamin for sciatica. Sciatica is pain down the sciatic nerve. The sciatic nerve comes from the lumbar spine all the way down the back part of the leg and into the foot. It’s the longest and biggest nerve in the body.

The sciatic nerve needs certain nutrients to function correctly. But, the deficiency that will create the most damage to the sciatic nerve is a vitamin B2 deficiency (riboflavin). But, B12 and B1 are also important. Taking the B complex may be the best way to go. Benfotiamine may also be beneficial. Benfotiamine is fat-soluble B1.

Other symptoms of a vitamin B2 deficiency:
1. Peripheral neuropathy
2. The limbs are weak
3. Skin lesions or problems
4. A swollen mouth or tongue (or red tongue)
5. A break down of the nervous system
6. Cracked heels
7. Oily skin (especially around the nose)
8. Hearing loss

A vitamin B2 deficiency can be caused by not consuming enough foods that are high in vitamin B2. But, it can also be caused by a problem with the gut that destroys your ability to absorb nutrients. In this situation, you may just need more than the average amount of B2.

Foods high in vitamin B2:
β€’ Liver
β€’ Beef
β€’ Clams (and other shellfish)
β€’ Mushrooms
β€’ Nuts
β€’ Cheese
β€’ Eggs
β€’ Fish
β€’ Green vegetables

High Fat Diets Are Only Dangerous if…

Take Dr. Berg’s Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: https://ift.tt/2vAU08M

In this video, Dr. Berg explains the dangers of doing high fat diets. High fat diets are only dangerous if you combine it with sugar. The combination of sugar to a fat or protein is called glycation or combining a pure carbohydrates, meat or fat and cook it could create what is called AGE’s or Advanced Glycation End products.

Effects of AGE’s in the Body
β€’ Stiffen Things
β€’ Clog
β€’ Inflammation
β€’ Age the Body
β€’ Involved in many degenerative diseases – Diabetes, Liver Disease, Alzheimer’s, Heart Disease, Kidney Disease

So I know you have heard that high fat diets are bad for you, they’re very dangerous, but in reality, high fat diets are only dangerous if you are combining them with sugar. There’s a term I want to introduce you to it’s called glycation. What is glycation? What’s happening is you’re bonding sugar to a fat or protein so when you consume sugar with protein or sugar with fat, you create this glycation as in deep fried french fries, barbecue ribs, doughnuts, so you’re combining a carbohydrate with sugar, meat with sugar, pure carbohydrate with fat and you cook it, you create AGEs or Advanced Glycation End-products. Now what is that? That is a compound that gives you very sticky protein, they stiffen things, they make the arteries stiffer. They clog things up, they create inflammation, they age the body, they’re involved in many degenerative diseases, as in diabetes, liver disease, alzheimer’s, heart disease, kidney disease . Now the two things that can create this effect are the combination of sugar with either protein or fat when it’s cooked, when you consume it, or if you’re consuming these separately at the same time, the body heat will create that situation. So if you avoid sugar you have nothing to worry about.
