Why Use MCT Oil in Your Coffee?

2:25 Important notes on MCT oil
Let’s talk about why some people enjoy having MCT oil in their coffee.
You may have heard of something called bulletproof coffee. Bulletproof coffee is one 8oz-12oz cup of coffee mixed with 1-2 tbsp of butter and 1-2 tbsp of MCT oil.
There can be a lot of benefits of consuming this, especially when you’re first starting out on keto and intermittent fasting because it may help you fast for longer.
MCT stands for medium-chain triglycerides. These are special fats usually made from coconut oil that turns into ketones pretty fast. This helps you potentially generate ketones as fuel without really changing your diet.
Sometimes, when making bulletproof coffee, people also add ingredients such as:
• Turmeric
• Cinnamon
• Unflavored chocolate powder
• Sea salt
• Chili powder
Benefits of MCT oil in coffee:
1. More physical energy
2. Increased mental clarity
3. Reduced appetite
4. More oxygen
5. Increased fasting
6. Helps with the transition to burning fat
Pretty much all MCT oil companies get their products from the same source. The United States doesn’t grow coconuts, so MCT oil comes from non-US sources. I have an MCT oil product that is from Indonesia.
I believe that typically MCT oil is overpriced. Many brands sell MCT oil for $25 to $45 for one 16oz bottle. I sell my MCT oil for $12.95.
Many people enjoy bulletproof coffee, you may want to give it a try too!

What’s More Preventive for COVID-19: Fixing the Diet or Nutrients?

1:22 Will taking nutrients help without a healthy diet?
1:45 Nutrients and studies
2:06 Keto and pre-existing conditions
2:25 Fix the diet, or consume more nutrients?
When it comes to COVID-19, should you focus on fixing your diet or getting more nutrients as a preventive action?
By fixing the diet, I’m talking about:
1. Doing a low carb diet (keto diet)
2. Doing intermittent fasting
The nutrients:
1. Zinc
2. Vitamin D
3. Vitamin C
COVID-19 risk factors:
• High blood pressure
• Obesity
• Diabetes
• Cardiovascular disease
The COVID-19 risk factors above are metabolic problems. Metabolic problems have something in common: insulin resistance. Metabolic problems weaken the immune system. So, a weak immune system is a symptom of metabolic problems, and metabolic problems can be a symptom of insulin resistance.
If you have these conditions, and you’re doing a high-carb diet instead of the keto diet, taking the nutrients may help. But, really, these nutrients may not make a dent in these conditions if the person’s insulin is still too high.
When studies are done using these nutrients with COVID-19, and they don’t fix the person’s diet, I believe the results might not be as good.
The healthy keto diet with intermittent fasting may potentially help with metabolic conditions. This could automatically make your immune system a lot better.
If I had to choose between fixing my diet or taking nutrients, I would choose to fix my diet. But, then I would also add in the nutrients as well. I don’t think taking the nutrients will work like they should without fixing the diet first.

Autoimmune Conditions May Be Viral: Molecular Mimicry

2:40 How does cross-reactivity occur?
2:55 What could you do?
Today we’re going to talk about autoimmune diseases and how an autoimmune disease could be related to a virus.
It’s been found that the microbe (a virus) and the host cell (your own cell) many times have similar codes in their genetics. Over time, they can actually cross-react. In other words, you could develop antibodies for this virus that also attack parts of your own tissues. I think this could be a strategy that the microbes have developed to try to go underneath the radar and trick the body into thinking it’s a part of the body.
In order for cross-reactivity to happen, I think you also have to have some chemical involved or stress trigger involved. It seems there would need to be a lot of factors that would need to align, but if they did, you could potentially develop antibodies to your own tissue.
What could you do?
1. Vitamin D (high doses)
2. Purified bile salts
3. Oregano oil and colloidal silver

Today we’re going to talk about how long to take vitamin D and vitamin D dosage. There seems to be a lot of confusion around vitamin D3 that I want to help clear up. Most people take 600 IUs to 2,000 IUs of vitamin D3, and they think that’s enough. But is it?
About 75% of the population is deficient in vitamin D. I believe vitamin D is the most important fat-soluble vitamin—especially for the immune system.
Studies on vitamin D:
1. In the first study, the group took 1,000-2,000 IUs of vitamin D 1-2 times per week for 1 month and did not increase their vitamin D levels at all.
2. In the second study, the group to 1,000-2,000 IUs of vitamin D, and it took 4 months to elevate their vitamin D.
3. In the third study, it took 3 months to achieve the normal level of vitamin D by taking 1,600 IUs of vitamin D.
• It takes a lot longer than you think to fix a vitamin D deficiency.
• There are various things that prevent the absorption of vitamin D.
Various things that can prevent the absorption of vitamin D:
• Gut damage
• Age
• Skin pigment
• Subcutaneous fat
• Sun exposure
• Metabolic issues
• Season
• Polymorphism
• Chronic infection
Vitamin D dosage:
• You may want to consider taking 10,000 IUs of vitamin D per day for maintenance, but you may want to take more if there is an autoimmune issue involved.
You would have to consume something like 100,000-200,000 IUs of vitamin D for months or years to create complications. The biggest complication of vitamin D toxicity could be hypercalcemia.
Still, to help minimize the risk of hypercalcemia, you could drink 2.5 liters of water per day. You could also simply avoid consuming calcium in supplements as well as cheese.

0:55 Why you might be exhausted on keto and while intermittent fasting
2:40 Missing nutrients
Today we’re going to talk about why you might be tired on keto and while doing intermittent fasting. This program is supposed to give you energy, so why are you fatigued?
Well, you’re working on getting into a state of ketosis. So, you’re trying to burn fat instead of sugar. There is a lot of energy in fat cells. The fat will turn into ketones, and ketones, theoretically, have more energy than glucose.
It normally takes about 3 days to convert from sugar fuel to fat fuel. Once you’re doing keto and intermittent fasting for a few weeks, then you’re really getting into some fat burning, and your energy should increase.
What causes tiredness on keto?
1. Hidden sugars
2. EMF
3. Keto fatigue (missing nutrients)
Nutrients you may be missing:
• B5 (Consume nutritional yeast)
• Potassium and sodium (Consume more vegetables and sea salt or electrolyte powder)
• Magnesium (Consume more vegetables or electrolyte powder)
• B1 (Consume nutritional yeast)

Why Does Our Thymus Shrink to Nothing As We Age?

3:14 What thymus shrinkage means for COVID-19 risks
3:57 How to support your thymus gland health
5:16 One additional way you can support thymus health
In this video, I want to talk about the thymus gland and why it shrinks down as you get older. The thymus is a gland located beneath your breastbone, right on top of the heart. It is the training center for your immune cells—specifically for T-cells.
When you’re an infant, your thymus gland is very large. As it’s exposed to pathogens, it becomes smaller and smaller. By the time you’re 75-years-old, it is virtually replaced by fat. This is known as thymic involution or thymic atrophy. As the thymus shrinks, your risk of infection, cancer, and autoimmune disease increases.
A decreased level of antioxidants is believed to be the cause of thymic involution. Without antioxidants, you have excessive oxidation, which kills off important cells. If this is true, it follows that consuming plenty of leafy green vegetables is beneficial for preventing thymic involution.
The thymus is involved in the creation of three cells:
1. T-cells – these are antiviral, anti-tumor, and antibacterial
2. T-helper cell – these are the commanders of the entire immune system
3. T-regulatory/T-suppressor cells – these help suppress an overactive immune system
By age 65, your diversity of these cells is diminished significantly.
When it comes to COVID-19, you are very unlikely to die from this virus if you are under 65. However, after 65, your risk significantly increases. This could be linked to thymus function.
The question is, what can we do? Why we can’t control aging, we can control our health and other factors.
1. Increase antioxidants
2. Lower stress
3. Increase zinc
You can also take a thymus extract, which will help support your thymus health and immune system.
