Today let’s talk about the hidden cause of palpitations. Palpitations can be scary, but most of the time, they’re not a problem.

A palpitation is when your heartbeat:
• Races
• Pounds
• Flip-flops
• Skips
• Flutters

Typically, what causes palpitations are fluctuations in blood sugar.

Other things that can cause palpitations are:
• Chocolate
• Caffeine
• Alcohol
• Fever
• Low potassium or magnesium

A hidden cause of palpitations has to do with the gallbladder. There is an interesting paper that shows the relationship between the gallbladder and an ECG reading. Problems with the gallbladder could alter the physiology of the heart that could be shown on an ECG. An abnormal ECG reading could be because of a problem with the heart, but it could also be because of the gallbladder and not the heart.

I always ask people what they ate right before the palpitations occurred. Typically the person ate something they usually don’t eat.

Other symptoms of a gallbladder problem:
• Right rib cage pain (or referred pain to the right side of the head, trap, rhomboid, or shoulder)
• Light-colored stool
• Stool that floats
• Nausea
• Bloating/burping/belching
• Constipation

A bile deficiency could cause certain problems with the gallbladder, which is often diet-related.

1:55 Ashwagandha benefits

Today we’re going to talk about the herb ashwagandha. I really like this herb, and I even use it in one of my Adrenal Formulas. It’s really great for stress.

The main effect of this herb has to do with a phytochemical called withanolides. This phytochemical is a steroid compound, which is interesting because your adrenal glands are also made from steroids. Ashwagandha has been around for at least 3000 years. It’s an adaptogen, so it helps you adapt to and counter stress.

I believe the best thing to do for stress is to isolate the cause of the stress and deal with it. Vitamins and supplements can help, but finding the true source of the stress and doing what you can to deal with it may help more.

For example, if you’re experiencing a lot of fear related to the COVID-19 situation, it may be helpful to learn more about the virus and strengthen your immune system.

Ashwagandha has potential anti-inflammatory properties, it is anti-anxiety, and it has immunoregulatory.

Potential benefits of ashwagandha:
• Lowers cortisol
• Lowers blood sugars
• Lowers stress/anxiety
• Lowers depression
• Increases testosterone
• Lowers inflammation
• Better brain function
• Lowers pain
• Improve sleep

Enlarged Prostate and Urination Problems: New Data

0:13 What is LUTZ?
0:35 Is DHT the problem?
1:45 What could cause these problems
3:30 What you could do

Today we’re going to talk about enlarged prostate and urinary changes. I’m specifically talking about BPH and LUTZ.

LUTZ (lower urinary tract symptoms) could be:
• Frequent urination
• Increased urgency
• Have to go but can’t
• Urinating more at night than throughout the day
• Poor stream
• Dribbling
• Incomplete voiding

These problems have been associated with DHT, which is a powerful form of testosterone. But, a recent study showed conflicting information. Many different factors bring up questions as to how these problems could be related to DHT as well.

I don’t believe DHT is the cause. But, one of the causes could potentially be excess estrogen. Another cause could potentially be metabolic syndrome.

Metabolic syndrome is a collection of various symptoms, including:
• Central obesity
• High blood pressure
• High cholesterol
• Impaired glucose
• Low testosterone
• Low-grade inflammation

Hyperinsulinemia is what’s really behind metabolic syndrome. This is basically too much insulin in the blood. Insulin is anabolic, which means it makes things grow. Several studies show a significant high fasting insulin level with BPH and LUTZ.

The reason behind an enlarged prostate and urination problems could be too much insulin. Healthy keto and intermittent fasting may help address the root problem (high insulin), and you could see some really great changes.

Knee Pain, Pseudo-gout and Vitamin K2

0:55 Foods to avoid to prevent gout
1:38 What is pseudogout?
2:06 Vitamin K2 for knee pain and pseudogout
2:35 How vitamin K2 works

In this video, we’re going to talk about pseudogout, knee pain, and vitamin K2. If you have knee pain, it could be a pseudogout situation.

Gout is a build-up of uric acid. This happens because the kidney is not able to get rid of uric acid. When this builds up, it can cause a lot of problems, including kidney stones and gout. One of the best ways to get rid of gout is to take potassium citrate, which acidifies your urine.

You also want to avoid foods that turn into uric acid, including:
• Beer
• Organ meats
• Veal
• Turkey
• Sardines
• Fructose

While on a keto and intermittent fasting plan, you may have higher levels of uric acid. Potassium citrate is effective at combating this.

Pseudogout is different from gout—it’s actually a build-up of calcium pyrophosphate crystals (CPPD). This type of gout can also be very, very painful. It primarily targets the knees and the wrists.

The best remedy for pseudogout and knee pain is vitamin K2. 200 mcg tends to do the trick. Vitamin K2 is a fat-soluble vitamin that comes from foods that are high in fat, including beef liver, eggs, and cheese. This is why you shouldn’t go on a low-fat diet.

Vitamin K2 helps prevent calcium build up in soft tissues—and other places it shouldn’t be, like the cardiovascular system—and puts the calcium in the bone.

Vitamin K2 and D3 work fantastic together for bone and joint health and reducing inflammation.

Why You Never Should Eat Raw Chicken

Never ever eat raw chicken! This is why.

Timestamps:
0:00 Why you should never consume raw chicken
0:10 Campylobacter bacteria infection (food poisoning) from raw chicken
1:13 How to avoid food poisoning from chicken

In this video, I want to talk about why you should never consume raw chicken. Many people consume raw fish (sushi) or raw beef, but not chicken. Why is that?

Chicken and turkey contain certain bacteria that could give you food poisoning. This bacteria is called campylobacter bacteria.

75% of all grocery store chick tested positive for this bacteria. This is a bacteria that commonly known to live in the gut of chickens, turkeys, and other birds.

If you consume enough of this bacteria, you can potentially experience:
• Severe diarrhea
• Flu symptoms
• Fever
• Abdominal pain
• Cramping
• Guillain Barre syndrome

Antibiotics usually do not work—you can only manage the symptoms and let your immune system fight the infections.

You don’t need to wash the chicken. If you do wash the chicken, make sure you clean your hands thoroughly, along with anything you touched with contaminated hands and anything the chicken came in contact with. Cross-contamination can lead to food poisoning.

Make sure you cook the chicken thoroughly. You want the center to be at least 165ºF.
Certain temperates can destroy campylobacter bacteria. 48º c or 118.4º F will kill the bacteria. Freezing chicken can also kill the bacteria.

If your stomach has enough hydrochloric acid (HCL), it should be able to kill off small amounts of campylobacter bacteria. The problem is, many people do not have good stomach acids—especially as you get older. Antacids can also lower HCL levels, which can increase your risk of infection.

I recently spoke with a woman who was telling me she was on keto and intermittent fasting, and it worked well for her. But, then, she stopped, and later when she started the program again, it didn’t work. Why would this happen?

The best way to mess up your metabolism is to go on and off of the program over and over. This confuses your metabolism.

Your metabolism is living and dynamic, and it adapts to the foods you eat. When you’re not consistent with keto and intermittent fasting, this can cause problems.

What you could do:

1. Healthy keto
• Keep the protein at a moderate amount (3-8oz.).
• The slower the metabolism, the lower you need to reduce your carbs. You may need to bring it down to 10g per day.
• Lower the fat to no less than 75g.

2. Fast longer
3. Sleep
4. Exercise
5. Reduce stress

It’s important to be consistent with this program. This way, you can take your body out of confusion so that it can work with you instead of against you.

5:22 SIBO
6:10 A plan for gastritis

Today we’re going to talk about the best vegetable for gastritis. I believe the best vegetable for gastritis is cabbage.

Gastritis is essentially an inflamed stomach. This is a major problem. It could take years for your stomach to become inflamed. Typically this is a chronic problem after taking Aspirin for many years, taking steroids, the overuse of antacids, or a bad diet. The main symptom of gastritis is upper central abdominal pain. There may also be bloating.

A few gastritis triggers:
• Chronic stress
• Not enough sleep
• Sugar and refined carbs
• Too much coffee
• H. Pylori (destroys the mucus lining, lowers stomach acid, lowers intrinsic factor)

There is a great natural remedy for gastritis that is actually the same remedy for H. pylori. You want to consume foods high in sulforaphane, which would be cabbage and broccoli sprouts. But, cabbage also has other phytonutrients that could greatly help in reducing inflammation because they’re anti-inflammatory. It’s also loaded with vitamin C, which can help clean up the free-radical damage coming from the inflammation.

If you have gastritis, your diet is crucial. You need to consume very high-quality foods, you need to cut out any junk, and you need to do intermittent fasting. Mastic gum may also help inhibit H. Pylori if you have an infection.

A few more things you could do for gastritis:
1. Take a probiotic
2. Chew on raw black seeds
3. Take zinc carnosine

You may want to start by having more cabbage and broccoli sprouts. Gastritis can take months to heal. Once it has healed, then you could start to acidify the stomach with apple cider vinegar or betaine hydrochloride.

Cancer Spreads into Inflammation

There is something very important you need to understand about cancer and inflammation. Check this out.

DATA: https://ift.tt/2XX0Cuf

Timestamps
0:17 Cancer cells and macrophages
1:48 Does cancer migrate into areas of inflammation?
2:40 Tumors and the activation of cancer
3:04 Inflammation and the immune system
3:09 The purpose of inflammation
3:35 What could you do?

Today we’re going to talk about the spreading of cancer. What really kills most people with cancer is the migration of cancer. But, is this migration random, or does it follow a pattern?

Credible data suggests that cancer cells were created or derived from macrophages. Macrophages are a part of the innate immune system. Macrophages actually eat debris, viruses, bacteria, and much more. Many cancer cells even behave like macrophages. They actually eat T cells, red blood cells, and platelets.

Macrophages migrate to tissues that need healing—areas of inflammation. A lot of different cancers will migrate to the liver, lungs, and bone. These areas can be prone to inflammation. Macrophages come from monocytes, which come from bone marrow. This could be why there could be a spread of cancer to the bones. It seems cancer tends to migrate into areas of inflammation. There is even a name for this, which is “inflammation oncotaxis.”

It’s also known that tumors can reoccur after years of being in remission. This suggests that cancer can remain dormant for many years. Yet, it could be reactivated by inflammation, even at a distant location in the body.

Inflammation could both cause the spreading of cancer as well as the activation of dormant cancer. Inflammation, in general, can also weaken the immune system.

Inflammation is a response to:

• Infection
• Injury
• Trauma
• Stress
• Oxidation
• Increased blood flow
• Increased white blood cells
• Autoimmune conditions

What could you do?
I think it would be smart to actively and aggressively keep inflammation out of the body. I believe the two best ways to do this are:

1. Intermittent fasting
2. Keto

A few more natural things you could do:
• Vitamin D
• NAC
• Stinging nettle root
• O2 therapy
• Omega 3 fatty acids

Is Your Urine Smelling Like Burnt Popcorn?

So, your urine smells like burnt popcorn—why is this happening, and is it bad? Find out.

I recently had a question from someone wondering why their urine smells like burnt popcorn. Let’s cover why this could happen.

A strong urine odor that’s similar to burnt popcorn could mean that you’re making a lot of ketones. You’re not making too many to put you in ketoacidosis. But, you’re making a high amount, which is also concentrated.

This typically happens after a person has been fasting for 16-20 hours. You may especially have smelly urine when you first wake up in the morning because your urine is more concentrated.

If your urine smells like popcorn, this is not necessarily a bad thing. It could just mean that you’re in some pretty hard-core ketosis. It means that what you’re doing is working. You can even test your urine or blood to really see this.

What you can do:

1. Adjust your protein (you may be consuming too much protein)
2. Adjust your fluids (consume more fluids)

Salmon vs Cod: Which is Healthier?

NEW KETO RECIPES CHANNEL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnAGH-jp4YXl30rir1BPrxA/

When it comes to salmon vs. cod, you might be surprised by which one is actually healthier.

1:54 Which is the healthiest fish?

In this video, we’re going to talk about salmon vs. cod and which is healthier. One thing to make a note of is that if you choose salmon or cod, make sure it’s wild-caught instead of farm-raised. It’s been thought that you should consume more cod because consuming fatty fish will clog your arteries. But, I don’t believe that’s true at all.

Salmon (3 oz):
Protein — 25.4g
Saturated fat — 1.2g
Vitamins —
• B3 — 45%
• B12 — 45%
• B6 — 45%
• B2 — 25%
• B1 — 15%
• Folate — 6%

Cod (3 oz):
Protein — 22.8g
Saturated fat — trace amounts
Vitamins —
• B3 — 10%
• B12 — 15%
• B6 — 10%
• B2 — 4%
• B1 — 6%
• Folate — 2%

Both of these types of fish have a small amount of mercury. But you shouldn’t need to be concerned, because they also have a good amount of selenium. Selenium is used by the body to counter the toxic effect of mercury.

Here is the biggest difference when it comes to salmon vs. cod:

• Salmon has 2,208mg of omega 3 fatty acids.
• Cod has 171mg of omega 3 fatty acids.

In my opinion, salmon is a healthier choice. I also think that when you consume fish, it may be best to leave the skin on it. There’s a lot of benefits from the skin and the fat that’s just underneath the skin.
