In this video, we’re going to talk about a very interesting natural remedy called ozonated olive oil.

What is ozone?
Ozone is very toxic to your lungs, but it is very beneficial to other parts of your body.

Ozone therapy activates your antioxidant system and your immune system. Ozone floods the mitochondria with oxygen and creates a hormetic effect. It also kills fungus, bacteria, and yeast.

Ozonated olive oil is olive oil with ozone in it. It will kill off microbes with very minimal side effects, and it adds oxygen to the tissues creating a healing effect.

Ozonated olive oil uses:

• Joints
• Dermatitis
• Eczema
• Acne
• Infected hair follicle
• Toenail fungus
• Psoriasis
• Herpes
• Ringworm
• Skin rash

Today we’re going to talk about why counting sheep is not the best technique to get to sleep. I also want to share with you a few tips for sleeping that will actually help.

Counting sheep is not the best way to sleep better at night. Anytime you start counting, thinking about sheep, or thinking in general you’re going to activate the mind. An activated mind is not going to help you sleep. But, sometimes it’s really hard to turn your mind off to get better sleep.

These sleep hacks should really help.

What causes people to stay awake or have bad quality sleep:

• Alcohol
• Caffeine
• Stress
• Stimulants
• Digestion
• Light
• Sleep apnea
• EMF
• Leg cramps

A really effective herb for better sleep that I actually use in my Sleep Aid is called fo-ti root.

How to improve sleep:

• Limit caffeine
• Aerobic exercise
• Vitamin D with K2 + more sun
• Vitamin B1(nutritional yeast)
• Magnesium/potassium

The autonomic nervous system is a system that is working on automatic. There are two parts of this system:

1. Parasympathetic: Rest + Digest (If you have a problem sleeping, you have a problem with the parasympathetic nervous system.)

2. Sympathetic: Fight or flight (Stress alters breathing. You have a shorter exhalation.)

How can you activate the parasympathetic and inhibit the sympathetic?

• Balance out the inhalation with the exhalation. Slowly breath in and slowly breath out. For example, breath in for four seconds and breath out for four seconds. Focus on your breathing, make sure they’re the same, and try to slow them down.

If you’re wondering how to sleep fast or the best way to sleep better, this technique is it.

Type 2 Diabetes is an Insulin Disease More than a Glucose Disease

In this video, we’re going to talk about type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is more a disease of insulin than glucose.

When you’re diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, they usually use a blood test to measure how much glucose is in your blood.

But, the problem is that serious issues occur before you get high blood sugar. This is because these serious issues occur with high insulin.

Issues that occur with high levels of insulin:

• Retinopathy – retina
• Neuropathy – nerves
• Nephropathy – kidney
• Hypertension
• Memory loss
• Visceral fat

If you have high levels of insulin over a period of time, you will develop insulin resistance which then leads to high blood sugar.

Insulin is a hormone that is very anabolic. One of the primary functions of insulin is to lower blood sugar, but it does a lot more. It makes things bigger—it grows things. But, insulin is toxic at high levels. So, to protect itself, the body develops insulin resistance.

As your body develops resistance, it makes more insulin to try to cope. As things worsen over time, your blood sugar levels go up.

It’s very important when you get your blood tested to ask your doctor to always test your fasting insulin levels. They should always be below five.

What causes increased insulin:

• Carbs
• Carbs + protein
• MSG
• Excess protein (low-fat)
• Frequent eating
• Vegetable oils

How to lower insulin:

• Keto
• Intermittent fasting
• Apple cider vinegar
• Minerals
• Vitamin D
• Exercise
• Lower stress
• Sleep

Is the Scale Not Budging, Only Inches?

If your losing inches but the scale isn’t budging, this video is for you.

There is nothing more frustrating than doing everything right with keto and intermittent fasting, and still not losing weight.

Even if you’re losing inches but not losing weight, the ketogenic diet is still working:

• If you’re losing inches
• If your hunger is going away
• If you’re not craving anymore
• If you have more energy

A slow metabolism really is insulin resistance. Insulin is an anabolic hormone. If insulin is not working, you’re not going to have the anabolic effect. As soon as you do keto and intermittent fasting, you’re going to fix insulin resistance.

Once you fix insulin resistance, you’re going to absorb more protein. Protein weighs more than fat per the same volume. This means, initially, you will lose inches but not weight.

This is because you’re:

• Absorbing protein
• Getting more muscle mass
• Fixing atrophy

If you’re not losing weight on keto, keep in mind that it is working. You’re getting healthier. You have to get healthy to lose weight, not lose weight to get healthy.

Is Carbonated Water Healthier?

Take Dr. Berg’s Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: http://bit.ly/2RmaFDS

Today we’re going to answer the question, “is carbonated water healthier than non-carbonated water?”

I could find no evidence that carbonated water is better or worse for you than non-carbonated water. However, when I consume carbonated water, my digestion is better.

It could be because:

• Carbonic acid could buffer the pH
• It acidifies the digestive system

Bottled water pH — 7
Perrier pH — 5.5-5.8
Coca Cola pH — 2.5
Battery acid pH — 1.0

When you go below 7, things are more acidic. Because the stomach has the lowest pH of any part of the body, carbonic acid being a weak acid, might be better than regular water for some people.

Types of carbonated water:

Seltzer water — no minerals, carbonated
Club soda — minerals, carbonated
Tonic water — Quinine, carbonated

Will This Break or Not Break My Fast: DEEP DIVE

In this video, we’re going to do a deep dive on things that will or will not break your fast. The topic of things that break a fast seems to come up a lot. I want to take some time to break down this topic and help you really understand it.

Types of fasting:

• Water fast — Involves not eating and only drinking water (no vitamins, coffee, etc.)

• Dry Fast — You’re not consuming any water or eating anything.

What we’re going to cover in this video are the degrees of breaking a fast. There are a lot of things that break a fast in a very minor and temporary way. There are actually certain things that I’m going to recommend you have during your fast because it’s so minor.

We’re also going to go over insulin and more things like being bumped out of ketosis vs. being bumped out of fat burning. I’m also going to go through a list of common things people wonder if they can or can’t have while fasting like tea and vitamins.

Fasting benefits:

• Ketosis
• Autophagy
• Lowered insulin
• Fat burning

In this short video, we’re going to talk about the benefits of roasted seaweed.

What is seaweed?

Seaweed is a plant vegetable that can extract minerals from seawater and pull them into the plant. Roasted seaweed is a tasty little dehydrated wafer of seaweed that provides a good amount of nutrition.

Benefits of roasted seaweed:

• Trace minerals (iodine, selenium, zinc, iron, and a lot more)
• Vitamins
• Amino acids
• DHA/EPA (if you’re a vegetarian, seaweed is a great source of this)

Just be sure to find organic seaweed that comes from a clean environment. Also, if you have a small child, you can give them a little bit of seaweed, but they shouldn’t have a lot.

How to Fix the Swollen and Puffy Face / Eyes

Are your face and eyes swollen and puffy? In this video, we’re going to discuss why this happens and how to fix it.

What causes puffy eyes and a swollen face?

It’s likely caused by edema. This means there is too much fluid in the body (inside and outside of the cells).

This extra fluid is not just in the face and eyes; it’s in the:

• Heart
• Liver
• Cells
• Ankles

This could happen if you’re on a low-protein diet, but this usually isn’t the problem.

There are two main types of edema:

• Idiopathic (unknown cause)
• Pathogenic (known cause like cirrhosis or diabetes)

The real cause of this issue is a high carbohydrate diet.

• The average American consumes an average of 250-400 grams of carbs (refined grains and sugar)
• Each gram of carb holds 3 grams of water
• High carb diets create inflammation (which comes with fluid retention)
• High carb diets cause you to retain salt (with that you’re holding more fluid)
• High carb diets deplete your potassium reserves (potassium helps get rid of fluid)

The simple fix to get rid of puffy eyes and a swollen face:

• Bring your carbs down below 50g (preferably 20g)
• Increase potassium foods (eat lots of veggies)

The Benefits of Aloe Vera

In this video, we’re going to talk about aloe vera.

Aloe vera is very nutrient-dense. It has a lot of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.

Top two aloe vera uses:

1. For your skin (sunburn, acne, psoriasis)
2. For digestion (GERD, acid reflux, ulcers, inflammation, constipation)

Benefits of aloe vera:

• It has antibacterial effects
• It’s good for your blood sugars
• It’s good for your hair
• It’s good for the immune system
• It has anti-fungal properties

One big problem is that any remedy, including aloe vera, is focused on relieving your symptoms, rather than getting rid of the cause. If your diet is filled with garbage, this remedy will not work (unless maybe you’re using it for a sunburn).

Think about the cause. Use this remedy after you fix your diet. Start on healthy keto and intermittent fasting. If you do, you may not even need this remedy.

If you do use aloe vera, be sure to get it as natural and concentrated as possible. Don’t use a version of aloe vera that has a lot of preservatives and chemicals.

What Are Telomeres?

Today the topic is telomeres. I really want to break this down very simply so you can understand what telomeres do and why telomeres are important.

What are telomeres?

A telomere is the DNA structure at the end of chromosomes. It can be compared to the plastic end of a shoestring that protects it from fraying.

You can look at chromosomes as the entire DNA strand with everything connected to it. So, think of it as the entire shoestring.

DNA are sections of genes. But, the entire collective chain of DNA is the chromosome.

Telomeres are basically DNA structures at the end of chromosomes that shorten with each division.

Telomeres:

• Protect the ends of chromosomes
• Are related to lifespan
• The shorter the telomere the less gene expression and repair
• Are considered junk DNA (but they do have a purpose)

Telomeres and aging:

When you’re very young, your DNA inside your cells have a huge capacity to keep up with damage. But, when you’re older, you have less telomeres, and you have a more difficult time keeping up with repair.

Cancer cells that can live forever produce an enzyme called telomerase. Telomerase can counter the shortening effect related to telomeres. There is a plant called astragalus that has the ability to boost telomerase.

Astragalus is still being studied, but it seems astragalus may:

• Have anti-aging properties
• Increase your immune system
• Improve your sleep
• Increase your memory

I’m interested in taking the top reasons people die, and teaching you what you can do to take your weak link and strengthen it. I believe a lot of the reasons why people die relate to high insulin and high carb diets. This is why it’s crucial that you’re on healthy keto and that you do intermittent fasting.

A Must Faster Way to Get My Wheatgrass Juice Powder

Dr. Berg’s Wheatgrass Juice Powder: http://bit.ly/WGPowder

Dr. Berg’s Wheat Grass Juice Powder uses the highest quality of growing and processing methods. Our wheatgrass is grown in the rich soils of an ancient seabed in Utah’s West Desert. Using a unique freeze-drying method called BioActive DehydrationTM, we retain the natural qualities of fresh juice and when reconstituted in water, the juice is virtually identical to freshly squeezed juice with essentially no degradation of color, flavor, aroma, enzymes, and nutrition.

On the BioActive DehydrationTM process, the product temperature never exceeds 106ºF (41ºC) and is above body temperature (98.6ºF) for less than 2 minutes.

Wheat grass contains high concentrations of valuable nutrients, including chlorophyll, vitamins, minerals and natural enzymes. This juice powder is 100% pure and contains no insoluble fiber, carriers or additives.

In order to produce the highest quality of wheatgrass juice powder, a precise planting and harvesting schedule is critical. The exact timing for harvesting is particularly critical. The duration for optimal maturity and for peak nutritional content can be as little as four days.

One teaspoon of Raw Wheat Grass Juice Powder is roughly equivalent to 6-10 shots of wheatgrass juice or 1 tray (10 inches x 20 inches) of wheatgrass.

5 Reasons Why You May Need More Salt

In this video, we’re going to talk about the 5 reasons why you may need to increase your salt intake.

Everyone is focused on having low sodium products and they’re afraid of having too much salt, but no one thinks about a salt deficiency. There are a lot of serious salt deficiency symptoms, and more people need to be aware of this issue.

Why you need more salt:

1. Low adrenals
2. Excessive water
3. Sweating excessively
4. Keto
5. Lots of potassium

When increasing your salt intake, always choose sea salt instead of table salt. The best kind of sea salt to consume is Himalayan sea salt. If you’re on the keto diet, you need to take at least 1 teaspoon of sea salt a day.

My Bulletproof Coffee Hack

http://bit.ly/2DH0d6o

In this video, I want to give you my bulletproof coffee hack.

What is bulletproof coffee?

Bulletproof coffee is used when doing keto and intermittent fasting to help you go for a longer period of time without eating. This keto coffee helps because it has fat in it.

Bulletproof coffee is composed of:

• Coffee
• Grass-fed butter
• MCT oil

Bulletproof coffee is great for keto beginners because it will allow you to go longer without eating. It will also give you ketones which will help you keto-adapt faster.

How to make bulletproof coffee (with my special hack):

• Coffee
• MCT oil
• Xylitol
• 100% cacao

Benefits of cacao:

• Enhances cognitive function
• Cardiovascular protection
• Helps your blood sugars
• Anti-inflammatory
• Improves mood

What is the difference between cacao and cocoa?

Cacao:

• Is less processed
• It has more phytonutrients
• It has phenylethylamine (improves focus and attention)
• It has anti-inflammatory properties
• It has polyphenols

1 ounce of cacao:

Fat: 11g
Protein: 1g
Carbs: 6g
Fiber: 3g

Cocoa:

• Is more processed

1 ounce of cocoa:

Fat: 35g
Protein: 25g
Carbs: 16g
Fiber: 9g

I recommend 100% cacao for bulletproof coffee on keto. However, you can use other types of non-sugar chocolate as well. You just don’t want to have too much bulletproof coffee at night because it may keep you up.

Laxatives: Are they Dangerous Long Term?

I had a question from someone who was wondering about laxatives? Are laxatives dangerous, or are laxatives okay?

Well, I guess laxatives could be dangerous because a few possible dangers of laxatives are:

• They could be addictive
• They could deplete electrolytes (In this case, you would want to just add the electrolytes back)

The dangers of having chronic constipation are way worse than the minor dangers of using laxatives.

If you have constipation, as a coping mechanism, take an herbal natural laxative like cascara sagrada. This should give you constipation relief while you figure out what’s causing the constipation.

Natural constipation remedies:

• MCT oil
• Bile salts
• Vitamin B1
• Probiotic
• Fasting
• Adjust fiber

Is the A1C Test Accurate?

Take Dr. Berg’s Free Keto Mini-Course: http://pxlme.me/-i717vtY or go here: http://bit.ly/2RmaFDS

Download Keto Essentials
http://bit.ly/2DH0d6o

In this video, we’re going to talk about A1C. Is the A1C test accurate?

The A1C test is a great test to do as part of your evaluation, but don’t completely rely on it.

What is the A1C test?
If you have high sugar in your blood, and it combines with the red blood cell, it can be measured by the A1C test. If your A1C level is 6.5 or more that would be diabetes. If the A1C test score is this high, there is also a correlation with increased retinopathy.

If you decrease this number by 1%:

• Your death rate from diabetes goes down 27%
• Microvascular complications go down 37%
• Myocardial Infarction goes down 14%

However, about 30% of the population is anemic. If you’re anemic, the A1C test will be invalid.

Other things that could make the test invalid are:

• Sickle cell
• Iron disease

Red blood cells die a lot sooner in a diabetic than they do in a healthy person. If you measure the red blood cells with a short period of exposure to glucose, it can dramatically affect what shows up on the A1C results. This is because the test is all about how long the red blood cells are exposed to glucose.

Better tests would be:

• Fasting glucose
• Post-meal glucose
• HOMA-IR

If you have both high blood sugar and ketones in the morning, it could be because of the dawn phenomenon. The dawn phenomenon is due to gluconeogenesis, which means you’re making glucose from fat, ketones, and protein. This is happening because you’ve had insulin resistance for a long time.

You don’t really need to be concerned about this. It’s just a part of the transition phase if you have had chronic insulin resistance.

What to do for Food Poisoning?

In this video, we’re going to talk about food poisoning, and what to do if you have food poisoning.

What causes food poisoning?

• Bacteria
• Virus
• Parasite

Food poisoning symptoms:

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhea
• Fever
• Abdominal pain

Food poisoning can last anywhere from two hours to two days. If you have nausea or diarrhea, you’re losing electrolytes, and you need to replace those electrolytes.

Your body is trying to get rid of something when you have nausea or diarrhea. So, it may be the best idea to let your body get rid of it, instead of taking something immediately to stop it.

A probiotic may not be the best option in this situation. I’m going to show you a much more natural way to deal with this.

Food poisoning remedies

• Take apple cider vinegar and/or betaine hydrochloride (2 tablespoons ACV in water)

• Activated charcoal or bentonite clay (if you don’t have diarrhea or after diarrhea is done)

• Fast

• When you start eating, consume something fermented or pickled
