In this video, we’re going to talk about how you can cook eggs for the maximum amount of antioxidant nutrients.
I’m primarily focusing on two powerful compounds called lutein and zeaxanthin. These two carotenoids are found in vegetables, egg yolk, shrimp, lobster, salmon, and avocados.
Lutein and zeaxanthin mostly accumulate in the eyes. They can help reduce the risk of macular degeneration and cataracts.
As a side note, to further reduce your risk of these issues, avoid inflammatory oils, including vegetable oils, soy oil, corn oil, cottonseed oil, and canola oil. These can cause a lot of free radical damage that destroys healthy tissue.
Lutein and zeaxanthin help the eyes by:
• Filtering out blue light
• Reducing inflammation
• lowering free radicle damage
The best way to preserve the vital nutrients in your eggs is to cook them with a runny yolk. The less you heat the yolk, the more nutrients they contain. Try not to overcook hard-boiled eggs. If you scramble your eggs, try not to cook them too much.
The problem with raw eggs is that the uncooked egg whites can deplete other nutrients like biotin. So always cook the whites, but leave the yolk runny.
Always choose pasture-raised, organic eggs.

0:10 Cause of headaches on keto
0:42 Keto and the gallbladder
0:52 Causes of gallbladder issues
Today we’re going to talk about why you may be getting headaches after you started the keto diet and what you could do about them.
The phrenic nerve goes underneath the diaphragm on the right and left sides, and it goes all the way up to the neck and head. On the right side, the phrenic nerve is very close to the gallbladder. If there is any type of congestion with the gallbladder or bloating, it will put pressure on that nerve. So, if you have a headache on the right side of your head or neck pain on the right side, it could be related to the gallbladder.
When you’re on the ketogenic diet, you’re going to be consuming more fats. When you consume more fats, your body has to adapt to digesting them. You have to have enough bile for the process of digesting the fats.
Potential causes of gallbladder issues:
1. You don’t have enough bile to handle the dietary fat
• Consume less fat and/or take purified bile salts
2. Oxalates
• Avoid foods high in oxalates (like spinach and almond flour)
3. Nuts and nut butter
• Make sure you’re not consuming too many nuts or too much nut butter
4. Sugar alcohols (such as xylitol and erythritol)
• These are meant to be had in small amounts
5. Dirty keto
• Focus on the quality of your food and consume plenty of vegetables (do healthy keto)

3:51 What do high blood proteins mean?
4:22 High protein in your urine
5:31 Need keto consulting?
In this video, we’re going to talk about blood proteins. I’m going to make this very simple so you can get a full understanding of what blood proteins are and why they matter.
There are two primary types of protein in the blood: albumin and antibodies. These represent most of the protein in your blood.
The liver creates albumin. The purpose of this protein is to hold the fluid in your blood. If you have liver damage, you won’t be able to hold fluid in your blood. Instead, the fluid goes out through your urine and into your tissues—also known as edema. Fluid can also build up in the sack in your abdominal area—this is called ascites.
Albumin also helps transport hormones, electrolytes, vitamins, certain drugs, and fatty acids.
The other type of protein is antibodies. Antibodies are produced by immune cells that help you with your immunity. They are Y-shaped proteins that are like receptors. They connect with something called an antigen—this is a piece of a pathogen, like a bacterium, virus, or other foreign substance that doesn’t need to be in the body.
When antibodies connect with antigens, they neutralize a pathogen, tag or identify pathogens, regulate inflammation, and kill off unhealthy cells.
High blood proteins could be a sign of an infection, dehydration, or cancer. High protein in your urine could signal kidney damage, excess protein consumption, too much exercise, drinking too much water, or you’re using creatine.

6:28 Key takeaways
6:55 Need keto consulting?
In this video, we’re going to talk about COVID-19 and why the death rates are so low.
If we take a look at the infection rate and death rate from April to October 2020, you’ll see some pretty big differences. Take a look:
Infection rates:
US – 2X more
France – 4X more
UK – 3X more
Italy – 2X more
Germany – Same
Spain – 1.3X more
Belgium – 4X more
Sweden – 1.7X less
Death rates:
US – 3X less
France – 6X less
UK – 10X less
Italy – 10X less
Germany – 10X less
Spain – 4X less
Belgium – 7X less
Sweden – 30X less
Interestingly, you see a massive decrease in both infection rates and death rates in Sweden between April and October. Why—what’s so different about Sweden? Sweden didn’t go into a full lockdown. Instead, they focused on herd immunity.
Now, let’s talk about the “second wave” that many are talking about right now. The second wave really means more testing. The more people are tested, the more infections you’re going to see. The transmission of the virus is actually 3X less between March and October.
Why are COVID death rates decreasing so much? In past videos, I’ve talked about your immune system developing antibodies to certain viruses. B-cells make antibodies—this is part of your acquired immune system.
Studies show that about 20% of the population has antibodies for COVID-19.
We also have something called memory T-cells that act like antibodies. Since these aren’t actually antibodies, you may be tested for COVID and the test come out negative.
Having similar viruses to COVID may build up memory T-cells that protect you from COVID-19—this is why many people don’t show any symptoms or very few symptoms to a COVID-19 infection.

Should you consume eggs if you have an autoimmune condition? Here’s what you need to know.
Timestamps
0:00 Autoimmune diseases and eggs

2:00 Common allergies
2:25 Vegetable oils
2:53 Don’t want to get an allergy test?
Today let’s talk about whether or not it’s a good idea to consume eggs if you have an autoimmune condition. Most autoimmune diseases stem from gut damage. About 80% of your immune system is located in the digestive system.
If there is a break in the lining of the colon, causing leaky gut, proteins can leak into the lymphatic system. If a protein, like the protein in milk, wheat, or eggs, ends up in the lymphatic system, your immune system may tag the protein as a foreign toxin. Now you would have an allergy to this protein, and every time you have it, you’ll become inflamed.
These allergic reactions could actually set you up for an autoimmune disease. This is where you have antibodies that are attacking your own tissues.
If you have an autoimmune condition, you may want to get an allergy test. This way, you can identify what you’re allergic to, like casein or eggs. If you’re consuming eggs or casein on the keto diet and you have an autoimmune condition, this could make things worse.
Common allergies:
• Dairy (cheese, milk, yogurt)
• Grains (gluten)
• Eggs
• Nuts
If you have an autoimmune condition, you may also want to avoid vegetable oils. Vegetable oils are very inflammatory, and dealing with autoimmune conditions is all about reducing inflammation.
When you do healthy keto and intermittent fasting as well as periodic prolonged fasting, you may even find that some of your allergies eventually go away because you’re strengthening your immune system.

DATA:

Timestamps
0:00 Triglycerides on keto
0:10 What you need to know about triglycerides
1:53 Causes of high triglycerides
Why would your triglycerides be high while doing keto? Normally, your triglycerides should be low, but if they’re high, there could be several reasons why.
Your fat is a storage place for triglycerides. When you do keto, the triglycerides are mobilized, and they come out of the fat cell. They’re there to be used as energy.
I believe fasting 12-14 hours before you get your triglycerides tested is very important. This way, the test isn’t affected by what you just ate or drank that may have temporarily caused your triglycerides to be higher. Consuming alcohol or carbs two days before the test can also cause your triglycerides to be temporarily high.
A few potential causes of high triglycerides:
• A hypothyroid condition
• A problem with the gallbladder
• The transitional phase of keto
• Hidden carbohydrates
• Hidden fats

1:50 Top nutritional deficiencies in the elderly
Today I want to cover the top nutritional deficiencies in the elderly. This is actually a big problem.
There is even something called “tea and toast syndrome,” which develops over time as a person’s diet degenerates into things like bread, crackers, and even canned meats. A lot of deficiencies can be created from this type of diet. Typical foods served in nursing homes, such as many cooked foods, sugary foods, low-quality foods, and snacks, can also lead to deficiencies.
A lot of the elderly also take synthetic vitamins. The first ingredient in a lot of synthetic vitamins is calcium carbonate, which can be a problem. Medications are another thing that can also deplete vitamins.
The older you get, the less stomach acid you’re going to have. This means that you’re not going to be able to digest protein or pull in the amino acids, which are needed to help repair and heal the body. In this situation, it will also be harder to absorb vitamin B12, which can create a range of issues.
Top nutritional deficiencies in the elderly:
1. Vitamin D
2. Vitamin B1
3. Potassium
4. Magnesium
5. Sodium
6. Trace minerals (especially zinc)

In this video, we’re going to talk about some of the nutritional deficiencies that can be created when you consume too much alcohol—primarily beer. If you’re someone who drinks a lot of beer, this video is for you.
There’s a medical condition called potomania, which involves drinking a lot of beer and creating a severe electrolyte imbalance.
When you consume beer, you deplete your nutrients, including:
• Sodium
• Potassium
• Magnesium
• Calcium
You can also experience a situation called hyponatremia, which is extremely low sodium in your blood. This can cause:
• Dizziness
• Weakness
• Seizures
• Headaches
• Coma
• Inability to think
• Confusion
• Nausea
These issues can be compounded by:
• Being out in the sun
• Sweating
• Vomiting
• Eating carbs
• Taking diuretics
• Diabetes
When you drink beer, you can experience deficiencies, which then cause health issues that require medications, which can also deplete more nutrients—this is a repeating cycle that can really affect your health.
