In this video, I want to talk to you about hypertension and the coronavirus. In a recent survey, 88% of people with COVID-19 had more than one illness. After being put on a ventilator, the mortality rate jumps up to 80%. These are not promising statistics.
Here’s the question: why is high blood pressure the primary driver of severe COVID-19 symptoms? According to one study, 69.1% of people with coronavirus also had high blood pressure. Another study showed that 53% of people coronavirus patients have HBP—it’s always at the top of the list.
It has to do with the ACE2 receptors. ACE2 receptors are on the outside part of the cells—they are like the doors which COVID-19 can get into a cell.
Those who have high blood pressure often take ACE inhibitors. ACE inhibitors create a situation where more of these ACE2 cells or “doors” are created, which allows for more severe COVID-19 infection.
Keep in mind that I am NOT recommending that you come off of your medication.
To reduce your risk of COVID-19, it’s important to get your blood pressure under control. The question is, what causes high blood pressure?
90% of high blood pressure cases are considered “essential” hypertension. What this really means is that the cause is “unknown.” However, the problem might actually be a vitamin D deficiency. Numerous studies have shown that, when you take vitamin D, your blood pressure levels stabilize.
Following this reasoning, it’s not far off to consider that vitamin D deficiency could be the leading cause of coronavirus complications.

Today we’re going to talk about what to do if you stopped doing keto and intermittent fasting during quarantine and how to get back on track.
Along with social distancing, you may also want to try carb distancing. Some people think that to get back on keto, they should do a sugar detox. But, there’s really no such thing as sugar detoxification.
When you stop doing keto and intermittent fasting, the brain starts using glucose as fuel again. But, now you want to get back on track, and you stop consuming carbs and sugar again. Your brain doesn’t have any stored sugar though, so you’re going to feel cognitive changes, such as:
• Sugar cravings
• Stress
• Depression
• Anxiety
• Irritability
• Fatigue
These are not symptoms of sugar detoxification. They are symptoms of lacking fuel. Changing over your fuel system from glucose to fat takes some time. The brain prefers ketones over sugar. This means that you want to get into ketosis as fast as possible.
Things that can help get you back in ketosis fast:
1. MCT oil
2. Consume protein
3. Lower your carbs
4. Increase foods high in potassium (vegetables)

In this video, I want to talk to you about vitamin D deficiency—the ignored pandemic. There are over 1 billion people in the world who struggle with vitamin D deficiency or vitamin D insufficiency.
Vitamin D is vital to over 200 biochemical reactions. In fact, 5% of the genome is influenced by vitamin D.
China, India, South America, and the Middle East are at the highest risk of vitamin D deficiency. Pregnant or breastfeeding women are also at a high risk of vitamin D deficiency.
What happens when you are vitamin D deficient?
• T-helper cells have a difficult time working
• T-regulatory cells cannot function properly
• Iron is inhibited in many cells
• Immune cells themselves require vitamin D support
• Macrophages cannot function with vitamin D
Vitamin D is essential for preventing and recovering from illness and disease. It plays a significant roll in cardiovascular health, blood pressure levels, diabetes prevention, and so much more.
If you have family members who have health problems, it’s important to get them on vitamin D—especially with COVID-19.
The best source of vitamin D is sunlight. Keep in mind that, as you get older, the body has a difficult time absorbing sunlight and creating vitamin D naturally. Clothing, living far from the equator, pollution, dark skin color, skin health, sunblock, bad genetics, infections, and malabsorption problems can all affect the amount of vitamin D you can absorb.
