This is a summary video on L-Carnitine.

What is L-Carnitine?
It’s an amino acid that transports fat into the mitochondria. The mitochondria is the energy factory in all of your cells. L-Carnitine also handles some of the waste that’s generated from the fat that’s being oxidized.

What is L-Carnitine used for?
• Weight loss
• Endurance
• Increased energy
• Better recovery

But, L-Carnitine is not just for athletes or people who want to lose weight.

The best way to use L-Carnitine is actually for your cardiovascular health. Essentially the heart loves fatty acids. It needs L-Carnitine to transport fatty acids into the machinery to burn for its energy. L-Carnitine and COQ10 together are really fantastic for cardiovascular health.

Use this Trace Mineral for Excessive Blinking, Jerking, Twitching and other Tics – OKAY

Today we’re going to talk about a trace mineral that can help with excessive blinking, excessive jerking, excessive twitching, and other tics.

There are various conditions involving involuntary repetitive body motions like Tourettes, Tardive Dyskinesia, and Dystonia. Certain involuntary movements can even be caused by taking psych drugs or tranquilizers for a period of time. Involuntary muscle jerks and other tics can also occur from having had damage to the extrapyramidal part of the brain.

The extrapyramidal is a certain part of the brain involved in suppressing these abnormal muscle movements. Interestingly, this part of the brain needs a lot of manganese to function.

There has been research done on taking 10mg of manganese 3 times a day and improving these symptoms.

You may be taking something that’s depleting your manganese or other nutrients, and not consuming foods high in a certain nutrient.

Manganese is in foods like spinach, almonds, and bran. However, these foods also block the absorption of manganese. If you have these symptoms, I don’t think you will be able to get enough manganese through your diet. Supplements might be your best option.

If you’re going to take manganese supplements, you should also take:

• Magnesium
• Vitamin B3 (niacin)

Manganese deficiency symptoms:

• Blood sugar issues
• Bone mineralization
• Impaired growth
• Skin rash
• Osteoporosis
• Higher risk of epilepsy
• Increased pain
• Spasm
• Excessive ammonia

The ADA (American Diabetes Association) Finally Says the Low Carb Diet is Beneficial for Diabetes

Overview of Healthy Ketogenic Diet:

Many of you have asked, “is a low carb diet safe for diabetes?” The answer is yes. In fact, the American Diabetes Association (ADA) now acknowledges that the low-carb diet is beneficial for type 2 diabetes.

“Reducing overall carbohydrate intake for individuals with diabetes has demonstrated the most evidence for improving glycemia and may be applied in a variety of eating patterns that meet individual needs and preferences.”

The only problem is that they didn’t define what a good low-carb diet is. The ADA recommends somewhere around 40% carbohydrates, which is still far too high (it should be around 5%). As you probably know by now, I recommend a ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting to keep blood sugars under control.

If you’ve been waiting for the ADA to approve keto before you started, now is the time to begin. Take a look at some of the links at the top of the description to get started.

Is Red Meat Good or Bad?

The Toxic Effects of Excess Iron:

In this video, we’re going to talk about red meat. Is red meat good for you, or is red meat bad for you?

Many of the well known so-called dangers of eating red meat don’t seem to hold up.

I don’t recommend consuming any processed meats. I recommend consuming organic grass-fed meat. Grass-fed red meat is not going to cause serious issues.

There are certain toxic chemicals that are generated when you heat protein, especially if you heat it with sugar on it like barbecue sauce. It’s best if you don’t overly cook red meat because the more you heat the meat, the more chemicals there can be.

You can also lessen these chemicals by adding:

• Mustard
• Garlic
• Black pepper
• Herbs (basil, hot pepper, oregano, rosemary)

People who already have excess iron may have a big problem with consuming red meat because it’s loaded with iron. Iron can accumulate and become toxic if a person consumes too much. If you’re consuming red meat and you don’t feel well after, you should have your iron tested because you may have iron overload.

Iron can affect the:

• Heart
• Brain
• Liver

Genetic conditions that can make iron overload worse:

• Hemochromatosis
• Beta thalassemia
• Sickle cell

Action steps:

• Don’t overly cook meat
• Consume grass-fed organic red meat
• Get your iron checked
• EDTA
• If you have one of the genetic conditions above, you may want to donate blood
• Avoid: supplements with iron, fortified foods, alcohol, iron cookware

I wanted to create a video on RA (rheumatoid arthritis) and what I would do if I had RA.

Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease which means your body is attacking itself.

Rheumatoid arthritis can cause:

• Joint pain and joint stiffness (wrists, hands, feet, hips, wrists)
• Fever
• Lung issues
• Heart issues
• Rashes
• Fatigue
• Dry Eyes

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic problem. Any time you have inflammation that affects the entire body, you want to think pathogens.

But, what type of pathogens are involved in RA? Well, they have found certain bacteria from your mouth in the synovial fluid in RA patients. This explains why your body may attack the joints.

Here is what I would do:

1. Ozone therapy
2. Vitamin D + K2 (Vitamin D – 30,000 IU) (K2 – 300mcg)
3. Potassium (6,000 mg)
4. Zinc (200 mg – 3 times per day for 1-2 weeks)
5. Fasting
6. Oregano oil
7. Keto

How to Rid a Glute Cramp on Keto

In this video, we’re going to talk about what’s behind a glute cramp on keto.

Let’s say you have:

• A cramp or muscle spasm in your butt
• You’ve been diagnosed with deep gluteal spasm
• You’ve been diagnosed with piriformis syndrome

It all goes back to an electrolyte deficiency. Primarily, it is a sodium deficiency. What this really means is that you aren’t consuming enough sea salt.

When you start keto or intermittent fasting, you lose a lot of water. With the water loss, you also lose sodium.

You need to increase the amount of sodium you’re getting. If you’ve tried potassium, magnesium, and calcium for cramps and it hasn’t worked—you need to try adding more sea salt.

I would recommend 1-2 teaspoons of sea salt per day. If you’re exercising you may need 2 teaspoons.

To get more sodium, you can:

• Add more sea salt to your food
• Add sea salt to your water with lemon
• Take sea salt capsules

**Himalayan sea salt is the best to have.

Problems you may have if you have a sodium deficiency:

• Salt cravings (unhealthy foods like chips and popcorn)
• Worsening of POTS
• Low blood pressure
• Hyponatremia
• Addison’s disease
• The more exercise you do, the more sea salt you need
• Weakness
• Fatigue

In this video, we’re going to cover protein and muscle loss. How much dietary protein do you need to avoid muscle loss?

RDA – the recommended dietary allowance for protein is .8g of protein per kg or .36 times your pounds. For example, I weigh 185, so I would do .36 times 185, which is 67g of protein I should have per day.

However, there are many problems with the above recommendation.

It might be shocking, but a small portion of the protein you eat actually turns into muscle or body tissue. For example, 100g (or 3 oz) of steak only provides 25g of actual protein.

There are many variables that play into protein and muscle loss prevention:

• Absorption in the gut (insulin resistance, stomach acid, enzymes, bacteria, gut function, inflammation, surgery)
• Quality of protein
• Quantity of protein
• Exercise
• Age
• Illness
• Liver function

If someone exercises intensely, that could affect the amount of protein they need. But the quality of protein is also important—especially since certain proteins do not turn into body tissue at any significant level.

Instead of .8g of protein per kg of weight, I recommend you do .9 to 1.1g. Also, if you keep the quality of protein high, the need for protein won’t be as high.

You can take your weight in pounds and divide it by 2.2 to get the kilograms, and then you can take the kilograms and multiply the amount of protein you need (.9 to 1.1) to get the amount of protein you need in grams.

You may have to eat a little more or a little less protein and see how you feel to determine if you’re getting the right amount.

Taking essential amino acids in addition to your protein can give you a 99% effect of turning into body tissue.
