Jacqueline’s Testimonial

For 15 years, Jacqueline has had issues with her balance, and doctors have been unable to diagnose the problem or help her to regain mobility without the use of crutches. After one “all-in” walking meditation at the Niagara Falls Advanced Week Long Retreat, Jacqueline’s balance issues diminished enough that she could walk without crutches.

Will Your Blood Test Detect Vitamin Deficiencies?

Vitamin deficiencies affect your overall health, but will your blood test detect them?

CBC – Complete blood count (measures red blood cells, white blood cells, hemoglobin, and iron)

BMP – Basic metabolic panel (measures all basic organ systems and a few nutrients)

Neither of these tests will actually detect all of your nutritional deficiencies. What’s happening in the blood is not happening inside the cell.

Classical nutritional deficiencies – Severe deficiencies like scurvy, rickets, pellagra, or beriberi

Subclinical nutritional deficiencies – Could relate to repair, longevity, or protecting the immune system

Subclinical vitamin deficiency symptoms:

• Vitamin A – Problems with night vision
• Vitamin D – Low back pain
• Vitamin E – Weak muscles
• Vitamin K1 – Bruising
• Vitamin B1 – Anxiety
• Vitamin B2 – Cracked corners of the mouth or lips
• Biotin – Problems with your nails and hair loss
• Vitamin C – Bleeding gums and fatigue

How to test nutrient deficiencies:

Use a blood test that evaluates these nutrients off of your lymphocytes. A company called SpectraCell specializes in this.

The 9 Benefits of Heat Therapy

In this video, we’re going to talk about the incredible benefits of heat therapy.

If you recently created an injury where there’s inflammation, and you put heat on it, it’s going to make it worse. In that situation, you need to use cold therapy.

Heat therapy is really good for chronic conditions—especially chronic injuries.

Examples of heat therapy:

• Hot shower
• Steam room
• Sauna
• Jacuzzi
• Infrared
• Contrast bath therapy (alternating cold and heat)

9 Benefits of heat therapy:

1. Decreases arthritis
2. Decreases muscle spasm
3. Decreases muscle pain
4. Decreases muscle inflammation
5. Decreases pain in general
6. Decreases waste/CO2
7. Increases O2 – Blood flow
8. Decreases stiffness
9. Increases recovery

Why take hot showers?
There are certain genes that kick in when you add heat or cold, and they do different things.

Heat shock protein:

• Responds to stress
• Heat
• Oxidative stress
• Heavy metals
• Infection

Heat shock protein is a protein that responds to a certain amount of stress and then causes the body to adapt and do better. Heat shock protein actually protects the cell against misfolding.

Many chronic diseases have the accumulation of certain proteins that are non-functional and clog up function. Heat therapy can help prevent this from happening. When you add intermittent fasting, your body goes through autophagy, which cleans up the misfolded proteins.

Vish’s Testimonial

Vish came to the Niagara Falls Advanced Week Long Retreat with severe back pain resulting from prolapsed disc issues, aggravated by long flights to get to the retreat. Towards the end of a long meditation on day 3, Dr. Joe asked participants to focus healing energy on a part of the body they’d like to heal. The result for Vish was not only a pain-free back, but also a sudden realization that there was an underlying attitude causing the pain.

In this video, we’re going to talk about how to reduce or minimize the side effects of chemotherapy.

There are three big problems with chemotherapy:

1. Chemotherapy does not differentiate between healthy cells and cancer cells. It destroys them both.

2. Chemotherapy has significant side effects that are sometimes worse than cancer.

3. Chemotherapy weakens the immune system, which could cause cancer to come back. It also lowers recovery.

Chemo side effects:

• Fatigue
• Hairloss
• Bruising
• Infection
• Anemia
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Loss of appetite
• Diarrhea
• Reactivation of viruses
• Weight loss (loss of muscle)
• Mood changes

What you can do to minimize the chemo side effects if you choose chemotherapy as your cancer treatment:

1. Strategy – Staving cancer cells
• Lower carbs (Keto)
• Reducing glutamate (Intermittent fasting)

2. Decrease inflammation
• Take high amounts of vitamin D
• Do intermittent fasting

3. The most effective and most powerful chemoprotective polyphenol is EGCG
• Take green tea

4. Chlorophyll
• Take chlorophyll in the form of wheatgrass juice powder

5. Cruciferous vegetables

An alternative cancer therapy that would be good for you to research is called insulin potentiation therapy.

The Largest Source of Dietary Sugar Is Coming From….

What do you think is the largest source of sugar in our diets? In this video, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about.

The largest source of sugar in the American diet is soda or soft drinks. An average American consumes 45 gallons of soda per year. This comes out to about 20 pounds of sugar.

The 2015-2020 dietary guidelines for Americans:

No more than 50g or 12 tsp. of added sugar per day (That adds up to so much sugar)

Most of this sugar is in the form of high fructose corn syrup or beet sugar, which are both very oxidizing and are GMO. About half of these two types of sugar is fructose, and the other half is glucose. The fructose is forced on the liver, which can lead to a fatty liver and insulin resistance.

The American Heart Association maximum added sugar guidelines:

For women – 6 tsp.
For men – 9 tsp.

Rose’s Testimonial

When Rose’s extended family member was in an accident, she decided to put her knowledge and experience into practice, in the “real world.” She taught her relatives how to administer Coherence Healing, and they did a 10-minute session in the trauma ward. Enzo, in a coma, seemed to respond to their presence and love.

Why Lemon Juice is Both Good and Bad for Arthritis?

Is lemon juice good for arthritis, or is lemon juice bad for arthritis? Well, it’s actually both. In this video, I want to explain why lemon juice is both good and bad for arthritis.

Gout arthritis – High levels of uric acid.

Gout symptoms get better when you make things alkaline. When you consume lemon juice and it’s metabolized, it turns into an alkaline substance. This makes lemon juice a good remedy for gout. But, the lemon juice remedy for gout is really just a quick fix. It will help you feel better, but you still need to work on the real cause of the issue.

Osteoarthritis – Calcium deposits within the joints.

Osteoarthritis symptoms get worse when things are more alkaline. When you alkalize the body, you can create a flare-up of osteoarthritis. With osteoarthritis, you need to acidify the body by taking apple cider vinegar.

As a side note, when doing intermittent fasting, your body will produce more uric acid. If you’re sensitive to uric acid, it may cause a flare-up of gout. In this case, you can take lemon juice or potassium citrate to alkalize the body.

Is Keto (Low Carb) Really Safe for the Thyroid?

Is keto safe for the thyroid, or will keto damage the thyroid? In this video, that’s exactly what we’re going to talk about.

What is the thyroid?
The thyroid is in the base of the neck, and it’s controlled by the pituitary. The thyroid makes T4, but T4 is inactive. T4 has to be converted to the active form, which is T3. 80% of the conversion happens through the liver, and 20 % happens through the kidney.

How does keto affect thyroid function? When you go on a ketogenic diet, T4 will decrease up to 40%.

But let’s look at the big picture.

There are no studies out there that show any negative effects on the thyroid when you go on a keto or low-carb diet. Also, despite the 40% drop, there is no drop in metabolism.

T3 is becoming more sensitive and more effective.

I believe that high carb diets increase the need for more thyroid hormone, so T3 is higher. With a keto diet, T3 goes down, but I think that’s not actually abnormal. I believe that number is normal for what our bodies are designed to use.

So, is keto safe for thyroid function? Yes. When you’re on the ketogenic diet, you’re actually improving the efficiency of the thyroid.

Ben’s Testimonial

Ben has a history of nearsightedness, since he was 10 years old, and has worn glasses or contacts every day. The first evening of the Niagara Falls Advanced Week Long Retreat, Ben participated in a short guided meditation with the group. Nothing noteworthy occurred for Ben during the meditation, but the next morning he found that he could not see clearly with his contact lenses or glasses on – he had to remove them. Days later and his vision remained “crystal clear.”
